I agree with requiring students to perform community service before graduating. I agree with this because students will learn how to handle responsibilities, have discipline and as well they will graduate with a higher rate. To perform community services also helps students to learn about major issues like natural disasters and ecosystem conservation, societal issues like bullying prevention, nutrition and fitness. Multitask is a skill that students will need in both work and college environments. What they would learn in the community services would help them to become a better person in the future. It also gives students the benefit to experience with group dynamics “when performing community service, students learn to form a cooperative team in order to accomplish their goal.” Not only it helps students to be responsible, discipline, graduating with a higher rate and learning new stuff but it also helps them reach their goal throughout the community service.
Through the community services we can see that many students will become responsible both in work and college environments. They will learn how to handle their responsibilities “students learn the value of responsibilities and discipline …. giving back to their community.” Students learn a lot more in these activities, they learn to be more responsible than before. Whether direct or indirect… “encourages career preparation and reflection.”
