Since there exist thousands of time series in GEP prediction, a hierarchical encoder is proposed that computes this correlation using 101 MILSTMs. EHSCP is trained using 155 datasets and is evaluated on 39 test datasets. These evaluations show that EHSCP surpasses existing methods in terms of prediction accuracy and number of correctly-predicted division/differentiation stages. In these evaluations, number of correctly-predicted stages in EHSCP was 128 when as many as 8 initial stages were given.
To study the prevalence and severity of diabetic retinopathy (DR) in patients with macular telangiectasia type 2 (MacTel 2).
Retrospective case series.
Patients with a diagnosis of MacTel 2 treated at the Rotterdam Eye Hospital or Erasmus Medical Center between 2014 and 2018 were included.
The following information was retrieved from patient files demographics, history of diabetes mellitus and hypertension, presence of DR, and severity of DR, that is, mild, moderate, severe, or proliferative. Presence of diabetic macular edema (DME) was assessed using OCT.
Presence and severity of DR.
Two hundred six eyes of 103 patients were included. At the onset of MacTel 2, the mean age was 61 years (standard deviation [SD], 9.8 years) and 64 (62%) were women. Mean follow-up was 71 months (SD, 60 months). Diabetes mellitus type 2 was present in 50 patients (49%) and hypertension was present in 47 patients (46%). Mild DR was present in 22 eyes (11%), of which 14 eyes (7%) showed signs at baseline and 8 eyes (4%ditional studies.
To analyze the clinical characteristics of uveal melanoma (UM) and evaluate the relationship of congenital oculocutaneous melanosis (OCM) to the prognosis of Asian patients with UM.

We included a total of 1151 Asian patients with UM who were managed at the Beijing Tongren Hospital from June 26, 2005, to July 27,2020.

Melanoma-related metastasis and death.
Of 1151 Asian patients with UM, congenital OCM was present in 23 (0.20%). The melanocytosis involved the conjunctiva (78%), sclera (74%), eyelid (70%), face (26%), forehead (2.2%), iris (0.87%), choroid (0.87%), and auricle (0.4%). Univariate analysis of Cox proportional hazards regression model showed that age, tumor thickness, largest tumor basal diameter, and ciliary body involvement were the risk factors for the poor prognosis of Asian patients with UM. By multivariable analysis, the only factor predictive of melanoma-related metastasis and largest tumor basal diameter and ciliary body involvement were the risk factors for UM metastasis. Patients with UM combined with OCM had a similar risk for metastasis compared with those with no OCM.
The prominent risk for metastasis from UM was the largest tumor basal diameter in Asian patients. Estimation of IPW revealed that the largest tumor basal diameter and ciliary body involvement were the risk factors for UM metastasis. Here we develop a supramolecular hydrogel by conjugating the anticancer agent 10-hydroxycamptothecine (HCPT) and macrocyclic polyamine cyclen to a self-assembling peptide. The cyclen fragment possesses nuclear localization and ATP hydrolysis properties, which can provide a synergistic therapeutic effect for cancer treatment. The HCPT-FFFK-cyclen nanofibers showed improved nuclear accumulation and inhibition capacity in cancer cells including drug-resistant cancer cells in vitro. The nanofibers also exhibited favorable ATP consuming ability in vitro. Moreover, the obtained nanomedicine showed enhanced anticancer efficiency and favorable biocompatibility in vivo when administered to mice via tail vein injection. This constructed self-delivery drug system significantly improved the delivery efficiency of the small molecule agents into the nucleus and showed favorable ATP consuming ability, offering new strategies for developing nanomedicines for cancer combination therapy.Osseointegration at the bone-implant interface and soft tissue integration (STI) at the trans-mucosal region are crucial for the long-term success of dental implants, especially in compromised patient conditions. The STI quality of conventional smooth and bio-inert titanium-based implants is inferior to that of natural tissue (i.e. teeth), and hence various surface modifications have been suggested. This review article compares and contrasts the various modification strategies (physical, chemical and biological) utilized to enhance STI of Ti implants. It also details the STI challenges associated with conventional Ti-based implants, current surface modification strategies and cutting-edge nano-engineering solutions. The topographical, biological and therapeutic advances achievable via electrochemically anodized Ti implants with TiO2 nanotubes/nanopores are highlighted. Finally, the status and future directions of such nano-engineered implants is discussed, with emphasis on bridging the gap between research and clinical translation.
