Ada dua teknik Muaythai yakni, teknik utama (Teknik Mae Mai) dan kedua (Teknik Luk Mai). Tendangan sudut Muay Thai menggunakan gerakan rotasi dari seluruh tubuh dan tidak hanya muaythai, beladiri lainnya juga banyak yang menggunakan teknik rotasi ini sepeti Taekwondo.
