Homestuck kicked off on April 13, 2009, the 13th birthday of our main protagonist and future boy Skylark, John Egbert. Three days ago should have been the day he received the Sburb Beta in the mail, but it was too late. It emerged later that afternoon, and after overcoming various domestic adversities, he retrieved the game from his internet friend Dave Strider, along with a birthday package. John soon establishes a gaming connection with another friend, Rose Lalonde, who has been pestering Dave to play with her all day after unsuccessfully trying to convince Dave to play the game. Once connected, Ross was able to manipulate John's environment, move his furniture with the cursor, and reorganize the shape of his room. However, John cannot do this for Rose's environment. He installed a client copy of the beta and needed a server copy for that. The server copy is stuck in his father's car, along with a birthday bag from another friend, Jade Harley. Jade texts John about the status of the package. So far, neither her package nor the server copy has been recovered by John. Ross also prepared a package for John, but it has not yet been sent. It's still in her room. Dave's package includes authentic stuffed rabbits from Con Air. In addition to allowing Rose to control John's environment, Sburb also provides a series of devices that Rose deploys at John's home. These devices work together to provide a system through which players can craft any item using the code on the back of the item's captcha card, provided they have collected enough grain to pay for it. Later, they will learn to master the art of punch-card alchemy by combining item codes to bring items together in purpose and design. An activated device counts down and releases an entity called kernelsprite. Countdown to the moment when John's house will be hit by a meteor and destroy his community. To escape this death, John had to use these devices to create a special item that looked like a blue apple and took a bite to transport his entire house to the safety of a mysterious dark realm before impact, There his house will sit atop a high rock pillar, high above the clouds. This field is called medium. Before he got into the psychic medium, though, John and Ross made his prototype of the Kernel Genie out of the Big Harlequin doll his father gave him for his birthday, transforming the Genie to resemble it, including the fact that the doll was swept away by early hijinks. Disfigured way. It has a cut eye and an arm, as does the elf. When John entered the medium, the genie's core hatched, thus imbuing all enemies John and his friends faced with genie attributes. The smaller opponents John faces first, the Shale Imps, are all dressed in harlequin costumes. With each successive pre-medium prototyping, they became stronger and more radically mutated. After entering the medium, John's father was kidnapped by the imp. While John was looking for him, he accidentally prototyped the genie out of his grandmother's ashes and remodeled it again. This archetype has no effect on the enemy as he is already in the medium and the kernel has hatched. Instead, only the Genie is affected, which has the look, personality and memories of his grandmother, and becomes Nannasprite, a guide for John's custom game. She explains various aspects of the game, about Skaia living in the center of the medium, beyond the seven doors floating directly above his house, and about the eternal/eternal war between darkness and light, where light is always doomed . Ross, who has frequent internet connection issues, lost his connection while trying to lift John's car to retrieve games and packages. The car fell into the abyss below. A storm knocked out her house and her wireless internet connection was cut off. Her laptop can run on battery power for a while while she taps into the wireless signal of the next lab. When her laptop ran out of power, she had to overcome more domestic disputes (and put up with a gift pony in the process), braved the rain to go outside, and inserted it into a small pocket outside her dead cat Jaspers' mausoleum dynamo. She continued to talk to John inside the mausoleum, while the forest fire sparked by the meteor around her house intensified. From the house, Rose's mother opened a secret passage in the mausoleum to help her escape. The passage leads to the lab next door, where Rose finds a steady portable power source and internet for her computer. She also discovered a terminal that predicts the impact time and location of the millions of meteors currently bombarding Earth, as well as all the other live sessions of other players around the world. She also found a little girl's room, a mutant kitten she named Vodka Mudini, and a clone.Machines that operate through the science of biobiology. Its terminal is locked to her cat Jaspers anytime the user specifies.

She tries to get Jaspers to show up from her childhood, and he whispers a secret to her. But doing this creates a paradox, so it instead presents (paradoxically) a bunch of slime. The machine used mucus to create a clone of Jaspers' fetal paradox in a glass tube. On the monitor, Jaspers told the young Ross the secret, then disappeared, only to appear a few weeks later, and has been placed in the mausoleum for years until now. Ross left the lab before being destroyed by a meteor strike. She is teleported back to her mother's room, heading to her room to wait for Dave to contact her and rescue her from the next imminent impact.

Dave is accused of obtaining copies of his brother's game to help Ross. Earlier, he lost his copy of the game in an accident involving a crow. It flew into his window, grabbed its prey, and Dave accidentally stabbed it with his sword, throwing the crow and prey out of the window onto a platform below his apartment. He searches his brother's room but can't find it, is briefly followed by Lil Cal, then finds a note beckoning him to meet on the roof for a confrontation. Dave and his brother had an extensive duel on the roof and Dave was completely defeated. After defeating Dave, his brother dropped a copy of the game and flew into the sky on his rocket board.

Dave used the replicas to connect with Rose and quickly deployed the devices when her house was on fire, surrounded by a burning tornado, and minutes away from being destroyed by a meteor. Rose worked with Jaspers to make her inner genie prototype, specifically to understand the meaning of the secret he whispered to her years ago. Jade advised her to do it, and she told her about the game in the first place. Dave then prototyped the Core Genie again using the tentacle princess doll that her mother gave Rose on her birthday. Both archetypes will have an effect on the enemy once Ross enters the medium and the kernel hatches. Rose used alchemy to create a special item—for her, a purple wine bottle—that she needed to break to get in. She eventually did, delivering her house before the meteor collided.

The meteor left a crater. Over time, at the impact site, a large white structure that looked like a wine bottle grew there, filling the crater with sand as the post-apocalyptic Earth's climate gradually changed. The "cork" of that bottle is a huge metal cylinder with an interior much like an advanced science station that houses various equipment and monitors. Wayward wanderers traveled across the desert to discover the station 413 years after the meteorite struck Earth. Inside, he found canned rations, a firefly he named Serenity, an Appearer, and four monitors connected to a keyboard.

On one of the monitors is John, right after he entered the medium. WV can enter commands directly to John, just as the reader of this story can enter commands for the character to follow. Most of John's movements after he entered the medium were created by WV until he concentrated on other activities such as building a town out of cans, playing chess out of cans, and drawing and depicting Skya, the medium, known as Prospit and Derse Planets of Light and Darkness, and the four planets the children occupy when they enter the game, called the Land of Wind and Shadow (John), the Land of Light and Rain (Rose), the Land of Heat, and Clockwork (Dave) And the Emerald Planet, remains to be seen.

He also activated the countdown function of the space station, so that it flew out of the crater and flew to the designated "home" coordinates. Along the way, it passed a sand crater on the other side of the continent where the John Meteorite struck. John's Meteor grew a huge white tree in the crater. The tree grew an apple-shaped stand from a branch, which fell on the sand. Peregrine Mendicant discovered this site. After WV flew overhead, PM also activated her radio's homing function, which caused it to fly to the same destination. Along the way, she used her terminal to try to command Jed, who had just arrived at the psychic from the terminal's point of view. This caused the terminal to explode for unknown reasons, leaving a hole in the station. A bot at the station recovers one mailbox dropped by PM, and she befriends it after killing another with her black regisword earlier.

WV landed on ancient frog sites across the now-dried Pacific Ocean. The site was once an island inhabited by Emerald, but the island has nothing but ruins. The mountain where her home was located, and the volcano next to it, were replaced by a huge void. PM landed shortly after the WV and they met. they are cooperative
