Rami Beracha shares his life experiences with students of the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya. Rami was a teenager who and a law student, chose to go to law school. While he wasn't certain if it was the best choice for him, he decided to continue his law studies, got a Master's in New York, and then worked abroad in the law firm. He discovered that his passion was more for business than law during his time at the Wall Street law office. He left his job in order to go to France to complete an MBA.

Soon after her graduation in the year 1996, Beracha was a part of the Venture Capital Fund Pitango. It is Israel's largest venture capital investment firm. Pitango has a relationship with companies at the early stages of their growth, and focuses on the most important areas of high-tech. Pitango has invested over 200 times and has made over 85 exits. Rami was appointed managing partner in the year 2000. Over the course of 18 years, Rami managed dozens deals that led to exits to large corporations in the Fortune 500 like Broadcom (Marvel), Cisco, Cisco, and Apple.

He didn't stop there. Globes awarded Beracha the 2011 "Esteemed Partner” award. The award recognized him as an influential investor. Rami founded Sosa in 2014 to launch a fresh initiative. Sosa has innovation centers operating in New York City and Tel Aviv and provides support to high-tech businesses looking to collaborate with entrepreneurs from around the world interested in working with promising Israeli startups. Sosa was recently chosen to design and manage New York City's cyber center.

His new fund, Ender Ventures as he calls it, will bring together Israeli and European Investors to support UAE high tech companies that specialize in virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and robotics. The United Arab Emirates is unique in its business outlook. The low tax rate and the favorable laws for business are sure to make it a magnet for numerous businesses in the coming years.

Ramiberacha's Challenging Past
Although Rami Beracha appears to have succeeded in every endeavor that he's set his eyes on, his path was not easy. Beracha was just a teenager when was drafted into the army. He was an Paratrooper's Brigade combat soldier and was a participant in the Lebanon War. Rami joined a rescue group which was tasked with helping soldiers injured in a wild minefield in 1983, just following the end of war. Rami unfortunately stepped on hidden mines and fell, losing his foot as well as his hand.

His time in hospital rehabilitation was one the most difficult of his entire existence. He couldn't move and sunk into depression and despair. His hopes of furthering his army career were lost to him, and he wasn't sure who was he anymore. Rami was able to live and dream again despite his suffering. He set out to become stronger and more efficient than he had been before the injuries. Rami was able to test out extreme sports. He now enjoys kitesurfing, snowboarding, and has even hiked Mount Kilimanjaro. He is constantly striving to improve his skills and feels like his old healthy self is driving him forward.

Rami is a regular volunteer and donor to many charitable organizations. He also loves helping young soldiers who have been wounded during combat. Rami led an army group that helped injured soldiers on a 2016 journey to Nepal. In 2018, he was promoted to major in Israeli army's paratrooper and the fire brigades. As young men had found a way to be realized, despite the difficulties he encountered. His story and passion can be a source of inspiration for everyone who reads about them. Rami didn't let his injuries hold him back; he kept learning and trying new things until he was more resilient than before.
