Chris Oyakhilome Biography: The Man, The Mentor, The Teacher and The Philanthropist

Pastor, faith healer. Author. Television host. Chris Oyakhilome also known by his followers as Pastor Chris. He is the founder and president LoveWorld Incorporated. He has impressed millions across the globe with his unique interpretation of God's Word.

Pastor Chris: The Man
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on 7 December th, 1963 in Edo State, Nigeria, was raised in a family of faith, supported by loving and devoted parents. He is the son of the elder T.E Oyakhilome who was one of the pioneers in the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City. Angelina and the matriarch Oyakhilome were also his parents. Her divine grace was passed on to her son at an early age.

The whole family is actively engaged in the LoveWorld ministry. Reverend Ken is his brother and the revered pastor at Christ Embassy's Houston Texas Church. Pastor Chris has two daughters: Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon, also known by the name of CSO, has chosen to follow in the footsteps of her father, sharing the gospel of God the world. She is a talented, award-winning gospel singer and part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his studies at Edo College. Then he was granted a scholarship to pursue studies at Bendel State University, now Ambrose Ali University. There he graduated with a BSc. in Architecture, as well as an honorary Doctor of Science. He also holds an honourary doctorate degree in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was where he found his calling to serve the Lord and to be a minister.

Pastor Chris: A Mentor
The Man of God, while still studying at the university, founded what would eventually become one of the most influential churches in the world. A small group of prayer called Youth for Christ’ was established. It would grow to become one of the largest and most well-known groups at the university. LoveWorld Incorporated would follow millions of people with the foundation of Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated.

Under Pastor Chris's guidance, under Pastor Chris's direction, the LoveWorld ministry became an innovator in satellite television and Christian television production and programming. LoveWorldSAT is the first Christian TV station that broadcasts from Africa, 24 hours a day, on free-to air networks. There are LoveWorld satellite and cable television stations across the world.

Christ Embassy has a strong presence in Pastor Chris's native Nigeria, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. The ministry operates two healing schools located in South Africa.

Music and Gospel Music are an important part of worship. Pastor Chris encourages Christ Embassy Churches that a choir is trained by Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry. Oyakhilome Many of these vocal talents will go on to have great solo careers under the direction of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome who was a committed philanthropist founded the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation Inter (COFI) as an non-profit, non-governmental charity that is aiming to aid communities in need and those living in the most deprived areas of the world.

Oyakhilome Chris Oyakhilome Family In addition to proclaiming the gospel, the Man of God also established NGOs with the aim of offering vital services and hope for the needy, poor, or forgotten. COFI is a partnership of five who are committed to enhancing living standards in some of the most degraded areas.

COFI's umbrella includes the InnerCity Mission ICM (ICM) as well as the Volunteer Medical Corps VMC (VMC), Trauma Care International Foundation /TCIF, Future Africa Leaders Foundation and the Bible For All Mission. Each of these organizations strives to improve the lives, health and spirits of the most in need.

His charity also provides sustenance to indigent children. Pastor Chris believes strongly in the need to build solid foundations for community through COFI, The InnerCity Mission and the advancement of accountable governance, good governance leadership and sustainable development both in Africa as well as other areas that are vulnerable of the world according to the Sustainable Development Goals.
