good m/a, my name is ben perry and i am a year 10 student at bishopgore School. I would like to talk about why i think that 16 year olds should be allowed to vote. Firstly, everyone has a voice and i understand it would be unnexeptable for any person under 16 to vote, but when you turn 16 you are officially in the transition of nearly becoming and adult, you have better understanding and more information about the world around you, and most importantly, having a louder voice. i believe it is a positive thing getting younger people intrested and involved in politics.

By involving young people, we are giving them a platform to be heard about things that they agree and disagree with in their community and to be involved in the decision making of issues likie education and the inviroment that could affect them in their future. the majority of 16 year olds have a lot more technical knowledge so these days it is easier to understand important decisions about their livess. sometimes, it can help them become better citizens and have an understanding on how the world works.
