It is a good idea to have a family plot purchased in the grave yard or cemetery. This can be done in the preplanning phase of a funeral or at the time a loved one passes. It is possible to preplan every detail including the funeral program, which you can draft by collecting favorite songs, scriptures, and photos. You can wait to input the funeral order of service information since this is usually taken from the church or officiant performing the service.

I've personally grieved the loss of family members and dear friends; however, recently I experienced, for the first time, a slow, impending death. I watched my 91 year old Mother for months as she made her transition. I watched her body return to the fetal position, her frail skeletal frame show protruding bones and unpreventable decubitus ulcers, feeding tube challenges, and constant pain. Through it all, though, she never lost her warm smile and her tenacity to fight. I marveled at her strength and wonder if I could ever have that much fortitude. I watched her peacefully die, at home, in her sleep, just as she had said she wanted to die.

If you were born in the 70s, most likely you have heard his greatest hits like "Summer Wind", "Night and Day" and "My Way". The music and film industry lost this great singer and actor to heart attack and chronic bladder cancer. He died at the age of 82.




What do you plan to do about food? Do you wish to have someone cater the funeral? This might be a good way of helping everyone feel a bit better. The funeral will be very emotional, having a little snack to eat might help some of the guests to the funeral.

Third, ancient wisdom of many types and from several cultures, emphasizes unending life. It is declared that the Buddha could look back over 100,000 lives when he came to enlightenment. The Tibetan Book of the Dead also describes unending life. Other religions like Christianity say there is life after death as well.

Take heart form those who have gone through a life-changing Near Death Experience (NDE). many have come back to say how beautiful and wonderful their experience was. Many NDEers lose their fear of death and think much more positively about death after their experience.

A similar monument was unveiled on July 17, 2003 outside the Riverside Ballroom in Wisconsin. The River Side Ballroom was where Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper played on February 1, 1959, roughly thirty hours before the world of music changed forever.
