Piles of Roses

I just saw five years of life flash before my eyes
But it wasn't in the past, it was later in life
When I would be older, independent and better
And I would look back on these days and remember
Remember the garden of roses we sat by and talked
Remember the path of service that both of us walked
And the piles of roses that were heaped in our minds
And all of the flaws that we struggled to fight
And the perfect blue waves curling row upon row
And asking for answers we could never know.

Sifting through the sunlight and its golden molten rays
Working building breaking for the new and brighter days
Warmth soaking through all my thoughts and limbs
Open my soul and welcome it in
Bring on the rain I've never been so warm
I could face it all and I would stay far from torn
So pile up the roses, red and smelling sweet
Change me from this youth into who I yearn to be
So I'll remember how we sang and the prayers we cried
And the beauty of the roses, piled in our minds.

I want to be more loving, more warm
I want my soul to be reborn
I want my life to turn around
To rise as a mountain above the ground
A mountain of Gods most mighty Cause
A teacher who will never pause
And I am so blessed to be one of the first
To be there watching the worlds rebirth
To build it, break the old walls down
Throw those forces where they'll never be found
Swallow the pain and sacrifice the tears
Run through the garden of a hundred thousand fears
Tangled dark forest, cut through the vines
Vines that are like veils to hide the truth from searching eyes
Chase away the darkness with a sword of golden light
Yes, we are blessed to be the ones He chose to fight.

Channel Me, Baha'u'llah

Baha'u'llah take me away from myself
Die in me to live in You
Flow those beautiful words out of my mouth
Come from You to the soul You speak to

God guide me, protect me
Help my insistent self to die
God enter me, possess me
Help my higher nature to soar in the sky

Detach from this world and all therein
Use this life for nothing but service
Make me to be more than useless skin
A soul fulfilling her existences purpose

God take hold of me and clear out my flaws
I need You to completely transform myself
Make my lower nature to be nothing but ignored
Transform me from this youth into somebody else

Baha'u'llah, please save me
Set my trapped soul out and free
Help me be who I was born to be
A pure channel and hollow reed.
