The online storage of videos isn't reliable. Websites may shut down or even fail. Here are some ways to back up your social media accounts to your own laptop.

My personal story isn't that huge. I was born in the USA, went to school and worked before I got my first job online. However, it also has several traumatic moments when I thought all was lost forever. One of those moments was when my computer in my house suddenly stopped functioning. However, after a little tweaking and moving the old hard drive to the new and installing a brand new desktop I was able to restore all the work on the drive. It took three days of sweat and tears... But I did learn one important thing: Dropbox and personal FTP servers can be used to back up my daily tasks automatically and manually.

However, it isn't the best choice. The larger your online data storage becomes, the more you have to pay to retain everything there, to keep it running. It's simple to use and appears very safe. It's simple to download and is downloaded from anywhere there is internet. But what happens if internet is not available? I like keeping my laptop close to me during those times. It's my last option to protect against loss of data. There are two drives on it with one for each HDD. This allows them to duplicate each other, and assures that one copy will remain in case of a failure. I only copy data to them so the laptop doesn't fail.

Some time ago, the other big day of sadness was. I do my best to not perish in the process of completing any work. Like I said, I have duplicates of it many times. It is also available online at any time internet connectivity is accessible. This post was not about Periscope. It was a tool I used quite often a several years ago. Even last summer in 2020, during the disturbances and violence, I was able to make a few live streaming. Then Periscope TV is closing down and all videos will be gone in the next few weeks. What can I do? All of the videos must be downloaded onto my laptop so that they can be saved offline. The videos are significant to me. I was with my friend at the time he disappeared off the radar of Covid. It seems like it took him.

the site I use as it lets me download videos from Youtube, Instagram and Facebook among other websites that have the bulk of my live streams. I am very involved in underground movements, politics and other underground movements. Therefore, I film many times, then save them and then upload them to my Youtube channel. After that, whenever the live event is over the video is saved to my laptop. This is the way I do it. It also allows me to cross-post videos across various platforms. It's not just to upload YouTube videos to Facebook, but also upload the video onto Facebook and let it become its own video on its own. So, I have three TB of live feeds that I've created over the last 8 years. It's not like I'm going to lose my Periscope lives.. This site helps me a lot.

It works like a charm. youtube to mp4 The video I want to save on Periscope or Youtube is displayed. I then copy the URL by using the share button. When I'm done I visit the video downloader site. After copying the URL, I hit the button that's big. Within a few moments, I am presented with a variety of ways to download the video to my laptop or desktop. to share it on different platforms, as well as to save it for family and friends. Some sites are not able to help with Periscope, but this one does well, it is able to handle m3u8 files that other sites usually download for you.. These are useful, don't get me wrong but they're actually based on fragments of online video feeds and playing the video within VLC while it's fantastic, isn't really achieving the goal - video is not in your system It's online and plays from online, when player loads the short fragments 1 by 1...

If you aren't aware, the windows copy command is a great tool to join these fragments and produce a normal-length video file. This happens due to the format of video used to create the video fragments: Mpeg TS aka transport stream. It contains all the data required for video decoding in each fragment. Each stream is started from the middle without interruption. It also saves data on the browser, as it downloads 360x10 second files instead of the 1hr file. So, when you only watch 25 seconds of the stream, it will only download 4-6 pieces. (It gets 3-4 fragments of the current 25 second stretch plus 1-2 subsequent fragments if you continue to watch the stream). This reduces the amount of download needed to watch only 25 sec from the center of the stream. There is not having to download all 1hr of video before that 25 seconds..
