How to keep current with music from your own country, even if it's 10 years since you left.

What are you doing? I am an Russki boy who moved to America looking for an improved lifestyle. I was extremely poor in Russia. I was not even far from the middle class and I wasn't rich at all. I'm not saying that about me, but my family. In Russia the young people didn't require money back when I was growing up, and so we had to find ways to earn money. Different schemes, mostly something similar to asking neighbors for just a few dollars to fill their shared vodka bottle. Similar to the above the idea of looking for ways to earn quick cash and even buy bread. We would always be hungry.

So I made it to America. There's nothing quite like New York, Brooklyn or Brighton Beach. This is a place that reminds me of home. It's noisy and dirty, people are rude and it's full Russian speech. I've spend quite a bunch of money there, mostly visiting Russian restaurants and bookstores and music stores.

I am a huge fan of music, just as I enjoy reading books. However, as of recently it's easy to locate Russian literature on Kindle. This is why I have stopped buying books that were hard-copy, plus I don't really have much room in my home, and my wife is a bit of an avid hoarder, and I do my best to contribute to her, including avoiding buying new things that I don't require to keep around my house, because there is no place to put it... Stacks of books looks intelligent in the beginning, but then they seemed sad until I moved them into the garage, which has plenty of space left to store my things..

However, music is something else. Since my work requires driving frequently, I listen to lots of music. While I'm a native Russian immigrants, I'm not a fan of American music. I don't like hip hop or rap. and all the trendy stuff that kids love to dance to. I really like old Russian music, including those songs with a jail theme which are unique to the Russian music world. These songs are still very popular in Russia after twenty years. They aren't on CDs - they are typically tapes found in cars as well as videos on Youtube. They do put everything on Youtube these days. Therefore, I can stay up all night on Youtube listening to music while I'm at work or when I get home after work.

And so after a while I've created a nice long playlist that includes more than 300 songs that I absolutely love. This is my constant companion. I listen to it all day long and don't have any problems getting used. There are 300 songs! The issue is that I'm unable to access the Internet whenever I want to play in my car. This is due to the fact that I use it for navigation and driving. I make all the preparations at home. I'm in the middle of. I take a few songs to Youtube as MP3 files. After that I burn these MP3s onto a CD using my computer. Then, I take the CD to my car to listen. This website I found allows you to take an entire Youtube playlist and print all the songs. Each song can then be converted to mp3 format and saved on my computer. Then, you can convert the mp3 to an audio disc. Sometimes, I'm a little naughty and make a data CDs that don't play in my car stereo. It's amazing how technology works when audio is recorded. It doesn't require an internet connection in order to listen to mp3. I just insert the CD into my car stereo, and the music from Russia is blasting throughout Manhattan as I drive through.

It's simple and affordable to download video content from Youtube and convert them to MP3 files so that you can save them to your phone. A friend of mine hooked his iPhone to his car stereo, and within a few seconds it was playing premium sound. https://agendaonion6.werite.net/post/2021/10/07/I-love-listening-to-music-from-other-culture-whenever-I-m-feeling-bored.-It-makes-me-feel-better. He also was able stream Pandora radio as well as Spotify, so it's not even requiring a lot of Internet to stream this. I think this is my next step to try. https://holgersenkock.livejournal.com/profile However, I will make sure to not utilize the wifi for free.
