Dear, Mattaponi Women’s Missionary

Hi my name is Rodney D. Johnson and I’m coming to you about what I plan to do in my wanted to get school done with and focus on my music career dream. But as I got older I soon to see that my education was more important. Just to see my family counting on me to do good and after all the things they have done for me, I can only think to give back to my love ones.
My dad is always peaching to me about that one day I will need all the education I can get. I can truly say it feels good wanting to go and learn more. My goals will be the first thing to complete.

My first goal is to star off at J. Sargent community college and continue to work at Martin’s in Ashland. Some of my other goals are to take a class in biology and business. That I can learn things that I like. Biology is something I love to learn about. Come to my house and what do you see on the TV “Animal Plant” or “Discovery channel”. It’s just something I was brought up to watch as a kid. I would love to work with animals and study everyday life, on how they live, what they eat, why they sleep in a tree. Things like that. In business can help me out in music. I can learn how to promote and sell my music. That can help in many ways. And I know that at J. Sargent the teacher there are willing to help any time I need.

My career choice was to be a writer and a singer. But I also have another job I could think about. Remember I work at Martins, well I work in the meat department. That’s pretty much like me taking a trade. I like my job at Martins. They put you to work, but I now that’s what it takes.

My reason for applying for this scholarship was I first heard it from a friend when we were at his church. I thought that hey God is sending me a sign saying take it. I knew this was a good choice to make so I could have a way to go to school. Nothing means more to me than going to school and complete my goals. I also want to give back to my family and my dad who had to take on more duties as a father and mother, because of the loss of my mother. This scholarship can help me out and be a blessing at the same time.

To Mattaponi Women’s Missionary tank for this time to read my testimony.
My email: [email protected]
Thank you and god bless.

Love: Rodney D. Johnson
