After getting vacation, Mr. Popper keeps on reading about the South Pole and peoples expeditions there. Then, Admiral Drake sends a message to Mr. Popper through the radio and thanks Mr. Popper for the letter he sent to Admiral Drake. The postman rang the doorbell twice, Admiral Drake gave Mr. Popper a penguin! Mr. Popper has read so much about them that he knows exactly what to do with the penguin. First, they call he penguin Captain Cook, Next, they give Captain Cook a really cold bath so he could be comfortable in his new home. Mr. Popper takes Captain Cook for a walk but then two men got out of their car and took a picture of Captain Cook and Mr. Popper to put on the local newspaper. After that, Captain Cook started feeling and looking odd, so Mr. Popper called the aquarium and asked what he could do about Captain Cook, and that is why they got Greta from the aquarium. They had 10 children and they started performing as a group. But around 10 pm someone came to visit Mr. Popper, It was Admiral Drake! Mr. Klein offered $25,000 to Mr. Popper to make a movie about the penguins. Admiral Drake wanted to start a breed of penguins with Mr. Popper in the north pole for 1 or 2 years.
