Tips to be more healthy in 2018
2018 is another year to make good changes in our life and to work harder for our dreams. With this, we should have a good physical and mental health to fulfill our goals. Donavan… would like everyone to be healthier in the upcoming year, thus the following tips were made by the group:
Begin with small changes
Many individuals often remain committed to small changes. One example is that after you had some treats, make it a habit to eat some fresh fruits after as well. Creating small changes for your health will eventually result in a huge good impact for yourself.
Monitor sugar content
If you love everything sweet and often end up having a lot of sugar intake, promise yourself to minimize it in 2018. Choose water over sugary drinks because even if such drinks are good refreshments, water still remains the best drink in keeping a healthy body and mind. Having a lot of sugary drinks can also lead to weight gain and tooth decay.
Exercise discipline when it comes to alcohol
We know that too much alcohol consumption can result in bad effects to our body so discipline is really needed on this regard. In between alcoholic drinks, it would be nice to drink water. There were a lot of empty kilojoules on alcohol so be wary on your alcohol consumption.
Engage to physical exercises
In order to have a healthier body, you need to do good exercises on a regular basis as well. It’s also a good way to release your stress and the negative energy from your body by doing good workouts.
It helps you clear your mind along with building up more energy and having a good shield against chronic diseases like diabetes or heart disease. You don’t have to engage in extreme activities often, simple exercises can still help you become healthy.
As much as possible, avoid foods with too much salt. Keep in mind that salt can increase high blood pressure and because of this mineral, one can be vulnerable to cardiovascular diseases as well. If you noticed that you eat too much salt for a day, eat fresh fruit and vegetables right away and it would be better to add herbs, garlic, and pepper to food flavor.
We know that stress is a silent killer. No one can avoid the pressure of our current society, thus stress is inevitable. Our mental health is connected to our physical health, thus an unhealthy mind that was caused by stress will likely develop physical illness later as well. If you feel like everything is too much to handle, take a break. Go grab your favorite book and just relax even for a few hours while drinking your favorite chocolate drink, or just put your earphones on and listen to relaxing music while sitting in a park. As yoga enthusiasts, Donavan Wellness Solutions Group suggests enrolling in yoga classes to help strengthen your mental health and handle stress properly.
Though it might be difficult to invite children who are used to spend most of their days in front of a smartphone, tablet or computer to do physical exercises outside, still give it your best in convincing them. You can also motivate them by promising good rewards after they fulfilled their outdoor exercises like simply having a good long walk around the seashore on the beach near you.
We know that it’s difficult to quit when you’re a smoker but think hard about the negative consequences of this deed. Think about your loved ones who will feel devastated once you develop an illness because of your smoking habit. Better to quit now and don’t wait for 2018 to come before you say no to smoking.
