Dear Editor,
I am wrigting to you about some childrens use of technology at schools. Do you really think kids should be depending there whole school life on an ipad? "52% of children under 8 are already regularly useing products like ipads/ipods" -Unknown internet resource.

I understand how you can see hpw everybodys turning to technology this day in age, and how "technology is the future" but i disigree with the age of children getting ipads. Schools eveverywhere are either requoreing or giving parents the opportunity to buy an ipad for there young student.

I personally do not think kids this young should be given the responsibility yet. I think it would be more practical for them to get them later in their school life. they also have much much more school work ahead of them, when having an ipad wpuld be more helpful. In my school, its not even half way through the school year, amd several grade sevens have broken or cracked ipads.

I have resurched on some of apples verified websites, (store.apple.com, support.apple.com, ect..) and found that a normal i pad costs between $499.00-$829.00 and an ipad mini costs between $319.00-$449.00. For apple to replase it if it breaks without a wareanty, it can cost between $250.00-$300.00. I know everybody doesnt have that momey just lying around, and it may cause problems at home if they puchase one. A parent may feel like their child is beingleft out or excluded if they dont buy one. I also feel as children are slowly loosing the experienve of social interaction, and more and more youger people are developing anxiety and and depression, and finding it hard to talk to people in general, because of these kind of things.
