If you wish to apply to the Honors College, please complete this application and check the Honors College box expressing your interest. In addition to the requirements listed in the APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS, all applicants to the Adelphi University Honors College are strongly encouraged to:
Submit a minimum of two academic recommendations. Letters of recommendation should indicate both the extent of your academic achievements and your intellectual potential.
Submit at least one example of substantial academic or creative school work that reveals your intellectual abilities. (This is in addition to the essay required of all freshman applicants.) Samples of work that may be submitted include, but are not limited to: laboratory and/or field experiments; works of fiction (essays, short stories, etc.); nonfiction essays on social or historical topics; mathematical demonstrations; art portfolios; performance tapes; or other works that suggest significant academic accomplishment.
All students who apply to the Honors College and who possess the appropriate qualifications will be interviewed by a member of the Honors College faculty. Honors College candidates will be contacted to arrange for the required interview to be conducted either in person or by telephone, after their completed application has been reviewed.
