"DARLA STANTON GET BACK HERE" I ignored dad and kept walking, He is so stupid, he just echoes what that awful Violot says. Ever since mam...well, ever since dad had to get a new job so he could look after me full time he keeps saying that meeting Violot is the best thing that could have happened to him. He says she is an angel sent from heaven. I say she looks like a person who walked into a makeup factory, took all their darkest products and slapped them all over her face. Violot is exatly the word for her with that awful powder on her eyes, Its an insult to mams memory to marry again, as I heard the preist mutter disaprovingly under his breath when dad organised thme wedding. I have to be a flower girl . Imagine! I am 10, not 5! I would prefer to be a bridesmaid,not for her though. I would do nothing for her. I was even going to refuse to help with the housework but dad forced me to help, giving me all the worst jobsbecause I was so cheeky. I have to go back now, dad will be mad at me but I dont care. What can he do? He will sigh and shake is head and say " Dont go off like that Darla, we were really worried" blah blah blah, Yeah right. Then he will send me to bed if I am back really late. Its the same routine every day. If he would just buy me a mobile then I could tell him where I am but no, its always the same excuse about only just getting settled with Violot every time I ask him. I mean come on, Violots been living with us for nearly two months now( one month three weeks and five days- not like I am counting) Anyway, I have to go now. I will write more in this book later.
