-A Horcrux is an object in which a Dark wizard or witch has hidden a fragment of his or her soul for the purpose of attaining immortality.
-Horcruxes can only be created after committing murder, the supreme act of evil.
- Lord Voldemort had seven horcruxes, Tom Riddle's diary, Marvolo Gaunt's Ring, Salazar Slytherin's Locket, Helga Hufflepuff's Cup, Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem, Harry Potter and Nagini the Snake.
- Harry Potter destroyed Tom Riddle's diary with a Basilisk fang after he had been healed by Dumbledore's pheonix, Fawkes.
- Harry Potter destroyed Marvolo Gaunt's Ring with the venom-imbued sword of Godric Gryffindor.
- Harry Potter also destroyed Salazar Slytherin's Locket with the sword of Godric Gryffindor.
- Harry Potter destroyed Helga Hufflepuff's Cup with a Basilisk fang as well.
- The Diadem of Rowena Ravenclaw however, got destroyed by Vincent Crabbe's out-of-control Feindfyre spell.
- Harry Potter got killed by Lord Voldemort in the Forbidden Forest, therefore, destroying the horcrux inside Harry. Harry then came back to life unexpectedly.
- Nagini was killed when she was about to kill Hermione and Ron. Nevil Longbottom cut Nagini's head off with the sword of Godric Gryffindor.
- Voldemort then tried casting Avada Kedavra onto Harry, Harry retaliated with Expelliarmus, which caused a clash.
- Voldemort was using the Elder Wand that now belonged to Harry, while Harry was using Draco’s wand, the wand of the previous owner that had been won over weeks ago.
- The Elder Wand, however, refused to harm its true master and flipped over, flying high toward its rightful master. The rebounding Killing Curse hit Lord Voldemort.
- Lord Voldemort then died.
