Notes

Just wanted to start off by saying sorry I wasn't super enthusiastic at yesterday's party. I think I caught this flu thing that's going around cast members last night and it sucked ass to leave and my eyes were burning because I was so tired. Also wish I said something yesterday too about how grateful I felt about all of you, but I didn't want to get all super weepy and twitchy face, stuttering, 'Kristen Stewart' awkward on you all. But with this I want to be able to say what I wanted to say.

I woke up today and it really hit me hard that this wonderful production has concluded. It's honestly so depressing to think it's over already, time flies and you learn to appreciate every breathing moment. I remember walking into this thinking I wouldn't have a family like I did last year and I was worried about how it would all turn out… but heck I grew so much closer to this family in the end AND I'M SO DEEPLY PROUD OF ALL OF YOU!

No amount of whatever I can do will ever express how overwhelmed I am to have shared this experience with you guys. As soon as I walk through those school doors every morning my energy would just die… I'm usually not the most cheerful person, but when I walked into the theatre after school finished a little spark inside of me caught fire. I would make some genuine efforts to not take life too seriously and smile every now and then. Efforts to not zone out into my own little world and miss out on the amusing one presented right in front of me. Effort to LAUGH and to not be irked and sassy and impassive by someone's presence for no fucking reason.

For you lovely newborn initiates of this magical place where oddballs eat, sleep, shine… Better see you next year. I have seen you all grow from shyness to realizing this is a place to be outlandish and awe-inspiring. It is no coincidence that you ended up in this home, you were all meant to be here. Truly. It's been such a privilege to have met you so it would just break many people's hearts to not see you next year flourish even more.
To the incredible ones graduating this year who are either veterans or brilliant freshmans to the high school productions, you are so inspiring. You are so talented and phenomenal and I can't wait to see what you guys do next. I am so blessed to have crossed paths with you and you will remain endlessly in my heart.

Every single one of you has taught me something valuable that I can take into my everyday life. I simply love you. So much. Ugh. It's quite the human experience to have witnessed such a large amount of people grow so enormously over a period of 2 and a half months. And it was beautiful crying with you guys yesterday after the show, like seriously. You never forget those kind of moments where you're at the height of a certain emotion; especially when you share it with about 50 people that you love and trust.

I know driving home yesterday after the party I had an epiphany that I only wish came sooner. As a result of each and every single one of you; I am a happier person.

Because of this bizarre family that happened this year, something changed within me. Within all of us actually. We can all walk away from this experience as a blossomed human being. I mean look at how upset we all were last night that it's all done. The root of all our success is because we knew we were family, we never left anyone behind or forgot about anyone.
This is my family and I found it very hesitantly at first, but oh boy the most accepting, outrageous and beautiful family I have ever been a part of.
