> Enigma - riddle yang diekspresikan dengan metafora.
> Conundrum - menggunakan permainan kata-kata
Riddle yang paling popular saat ini adalah bentuk soal cerita.
Riddle haruslah singkat padat dan jelas
Riddle yang mengandung hal psikis tidak digunakan secara umum karena perlunya pengetahuan yang luas
Langkah-langkah pembuatan riddle :
1. Pilih topik dan tentukan jawaban
Tentukan topik yang kamu kuasai agar kamu bisa membuat jawaban riddle.
Jawaban tersebut menjadi pedoman untuk merancang tingkat kesulitan riddlemu
2. Buat masalah utama / klimaks cerita
3. Buat background cerita / kerangka
Dalam pembuatan riddle, masalah utama dipikirkan terlebih dahulu sehingga kerangka cerita membawa pembawa "memutari" masalah utama sebelum melihat masalah tersebut.
4. Kembangkan background cerita
5. Menyisipkan kata/kalimat dengan pengertian implisit
Setelah terbentuk cerita, kata/kalimat dengan pengertian implisit menjadi suatu jebakan untuk menjauhkan pembaca dari jawaban yang sebenarnya.
6. Membaca keseluruhan riddle yang telah dibuat
Ini agar bisa menemukan apakah ada kesalahan dan juga saat untuk memperbaiki pilihan kata yang membuat cerita menjadi non-sense.
Cerita riddle harus masuk akal.
note : riddle dan case code berbeda karena case code lebih menitikberatkan permainan code (cipher)
