We understand that you want to know about the 'Extended Warranty' and 'Buyback Guarantee'.

We would like to let you know that 'Extended Warranty' services are exactly the same as the manufacturer’s warranty but can be claimed only after the manufacturer’s warranty has expired.

'Damage Protection' services cover accidental and damage due to liquid spills on the device within a year from the date of delivery. These are not covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.

Please note that the service providers are not offering this service with large category products.

Damage Protection service can be purchased only for mobiles, tablets & laptops. The same is not available for large appliances.

Extended warranty is available for all 4 categories (Large appliances, mobiles, tablets and laptops)

Extended Warranty & Damage Protection Services can be bought along with products listed by some of the sellers on Flipkart website, app and Flipkart lite.

The policy can be purchased only with the purchase of the product. (Customers will not be able to purchase these services individually). These services are made available by selected sellers only.

Also, we would like to let you know that the 'Buyback Guarantee' is a paid offering that provides an assured buyback value for your laptop. This buyback value can be availed as a discount on the next laptop purchase from Flipkart.

At the time of purchase of your next laptop, you simply opt for ‘Buy with Exchange’ on the product page and the discount is applied for the laptop you’re purchasing. Post order placement, the delivery agent will take back your old laptop and handover your new laptop.
This is best for shoppers who like to upgrade to the latest laptop every 1-3 years.

The Buyback Guarantee can be purchased on select laptop for a nominal fee. It assures you a buyback value for your laptop which can be availed as a discount on the purchase of your next laptop through Flipkart.

You will be able to redeem the Buyback Guarantee value for your laptop as a discount against the purchase of another laptop on Flipkart, sold by select sellers. The price of the new laptop must be higher than the Buyback Guarantee amount. You can avail this by going through the exchange flow on the app/website from the product page.

As of now, you can only purchase the Buyback Guarantee together with a laptop where buyback guarantee is available

There are some checks that will be performed by the Flipkart delivery executive at the time of pickup:
- The Original Laptop switches on and should be in switch on mode for a minimum of 30 seconds without connecting to charger;
The Serial Number of the Original Laptop, provided by the Customer in the Flipkart website at the time of purchase of the New Laptop, is correct and there is no mismatch;

- Laptop screen and the body of the Original Laptop is not in damaged or broken condition and the Original Laptop is in good working condition;
Original charger is provided in good working condition; and

- Password lock should not be active (all forms of laptop lock viz; password, fingerprint, face recognition, smart Lock, etc. needs to be de-activated).

- An online quality check may be conducted and no test shall be skipped;
