Margo Patterson and Jonathon Kingston met in 2009 during senior year of high school--they were in the same Intro to Photography class. Students were assigned a project that required them to shoot architectural buildings throughout San Francisco. One afternoon, they ran into each other on the street--they were photographing the same building, just from different vantage points!--and decided to shoot together. The afternoon turned to evening, and ended with ice cream, where they talked until the shop closed. And the rest, as they say, is history.

In November, after dinner at Little Star (where they had their first "real" date!), Jonathon surprised Margo by proposing in Buena Vista Park, where they often take their dog Luna for walks.

We're so excited to start the next phase of their lives together and can't wait to celebrate with you in August!

Like every love story, it always starts with one moment that makes your heart skips a beat and your world turns around. Strangely enough, our story began with a simple Facebook message from Alex to Vivi that would change our life forever. Our relationship then filled with long distance calls and virtual commitment between Auckland (GMT +12) and Vancouver(GMT -7) for a good 6 months, before Alex's one month visit to Vancouver during summer 2013 turned into a permanent stay up until now.

Oh yeah, did we mention that our first time meeting each other physically was 3 months after we committed into the relationship? Yes it was! And one funny story, the first thing that came out from Vivi when we met for the first time at Jakarta airport was "You look darker than you were on Facetime". And then we laughed together. That was definitely an ice breaking moment!

Fast forward to 2014 Christmas holiday, Alex proposed to Vivi and luckily she said... 'YES!'. This wedding will definitely be one of the most important moments in our life and we want to share the memories with people that we care the most.
