Gnome, atau bisa disebut Jembalang adalah hama kebun yang umum ditemui di seluruh Eropa bagian utara dan Amerika Utara.
Ciri-ciri fisik:
- Tinggi 30cm.
- Kepala besar tidak proporsional.
- Kaki kurus yang kuat.

Tampilannya berbeda dengan Gnome di dunia Muggle, yang di mana merupakan patung kecil.
Gnomes hidup di lubang bawah tanah, yang dikenal sebagai lubang gnome, di mana mereka menggali dan makan akar tanaman, menciptakan tumpukan kecil di sekitar kebun mirip seperti tikus mondok. Selain memakan akar tanaman, Gnome tampaknya juga menyukai cacing dan Kacang Segala Rasa Bertie Bott.
Cara mengusirnya adalah dengan memutar-mutar Gnome melewati tembok kebun (dengan kencang). Jika gagal, biasanya akan ditertawakan. Gnome juga bisa berteriak ketika dilempar dan menggerutu saat Gnome pergi. Cara lainnya adalah dengan menggunakan predator alami Gnome, yaitu Jarvey. Tapi banyak penyihir akhir-akhir ini yang menganggap pengusiran Gnome dengan cara itu terlalu brutal.
Gnome juga memiliki nama taksonomi, yaitu Gernumbli gardensi atau kadang-kadang disebut sebagai Gernumblies.

A: Bisa jadi.
Q: Apakah Gnome tidak sensitif akan kedatangan pemilik kebun?
A: Sepertinya tidak, karena Gnome memiliki tingkat intelegensi yang rendah, jadi saat sang pemilik sedang mengusir Gnome lain, Gnome yang masih berada di dalam lubang ikut keluar, karen ingin tahu apa yang terjadi.
Q: Kalau sudah mengusir Jembalang-Jembalang, apa mungkin mereka akan kembali lagi?
A: Kemungkinan kembali ada, seperti Gnome-Gnome di kebun keluarga Weasley.

A: Bisa jadi dimangsa.
