So today I want to talk to you about two important manners, peace and war. You might think of them as related, as is easier to describe one using the other. But one thing must be clear: Peace does not exactly mean the absence of war.
Peace is a state of freedom, of quietness and of non-violence. Just by looking around us,we can see that something is not quite right. For example, recently in our country a group of refugees were given residency from the EU. Why ? Because their rights had been violated. That is what non peace really means. The most import rights that had been taken from them ? Freedom of speech , movement and right to education.
Freedom must not be confused with cease-fire, a period after a war has ended, because cease-fire only awaits for another war. Peace is deeper than that , it's something natural that occurs in everyone , no matter the age, race , etnicity ,sexual preference or any other criteria. But when someone or something steals your peace, your freedom , it basically dehumanizes you. And that is how wars work .
If i had to give one definition of peace, apart from the one of wikipedia ( a lack of conflict and freedom from fear and violence), I would say that peace is respectfulness, absence of discrimination,racism and insults, and moree-over, understanding each-other. In this world, there are a lot of reasons to start a war , as there are a lot of diferences between us. The wish to have a lot of territory makes people go insane .
