SIHIR HITAM ; DARK SPELL
Sihir Hitam merupakan mantra-mantra berlabel ilmu hitam yang penggunaanya telah dilarang oleh Ministry of Magic, hanya Auror saja yang diperkenankan menggunakan sihir ini dalam menjalankan tugas mereka.
Terbang tanpa penggunaan media seperti broom juga merupakan Sihir Hitam. Karena bisa menyebabkan keresahan, kekhawatiran atau ancama bagi orang- orang karena tidak semua orang mampu melakukannya
beberapa yang dapat melakukan terbang tanpa broom adalah Voldemort juga Severus Snape dan Quirinus Quirell yang diajarkannya.
Inferius
Kata 'Inferius' merupakan Bahasa Latin bagi 'bawah'. Ia juga mungkin diambil dari bentuk 'inferus' , atau 'yang mati; alam barzakh. Inferius adalah mayat yang dihidupkan kembali oleh penyihir hitam dengan menggunakan sihir hitam yang disebut Necromancy
Ketika perang dunia sihir yang pertama, Lord Voldemort diketahui membuat pasukan inferius dari ratusan korban yang dibunuhnya. Para inferi itu biasanya adalah muggle yang dibunuh oleh Voldemort namun ada beberapa yang merupakan penyihir yang dikabarkan menghilang tanpa adanya kabar.
Karena mereka makhluk kegelapan, mereka tidak menyukai cahaya dan kilatan. Mantra yang paling berguna bagi mereka adalah mantra dengan elemen api seperti Incendio atau Lacarnum Inflamare.
