1. Sawaddi kab/kha : diucapkan ketika bertemu seseorang dan tdk bergantung waktu. ( Kab : diucapkan laki-laki; Kha : diucapkan perempuan )
2. Khob khun kab/kha : terima kasih
3. Khun : bapak/ibu
Digunakan untuk memanggil nama depan orang dengan sopan.
Contoh : Pak Dennis = Khun Dennis
4. Phi/Nong : Kakak/adik
5. Sabai dii Mai : apa kabar?
Penjabarannya Sabai (senang) dii (bagus) mai (gak)?/?
6. Khotob kha/kab : permisi/maaf, nyuwun sewu, excuse me
7. Yin dii tii dai ruu jak : senang bertemu anda
8. Mai Ao : tidak mau
9. Arai? : apa? (Ada apa?) What? Mwo?
10. Thao arai : berapa (harga)
Biasanya digunakan saat berbelanja untuk menanyakan harga.

Phi/nong : memanggil kakak/adik kelas atau orang yang lebih tua/lebih muda dari mereka. Sama seperti sunbaenim/hoobaenim dan hyung-oppa/noona-eonni dalam bahasa korea atau senior/junior.
