"Hayır, teyzen dondurma sevmiyor. Masanın üstünde hiç görmedim."
"Ah, sevmiyor mu? Üzüldüm. Her neyse, eğer dondurma yemezsen, karnın ağrımaz. Hem belki, Polly Teyzenin halıları vardır." dedi Pollyanna.
"Evet, halıları var."
"Ah, sevindim, çünkü ben halıları severim. Bizim hiç halımız yoktu, sadece küçük bir kilim." dedi.
Timothy Pollyanna'nın bavulunu arabadan indirdi. Nancy ve küçük kız Bayan Polly'nin odasına geldi ama, Bayan Polly sandalyesinden kalkmadı. Kitabını kapattı ve "Nasılsın, Pollyanna?" dedi. Pollyanna koştu ve ona sarıldı.
