storm

Storm was an amazing dog. He taught me many lessons. The more i was with him the more i would learn. He was one dog, just one brindle colored dog, that taught me the most. storm was loyal, tough, humorous and joyful. All of this is what made up storm. Let me tell you more about him....

He had ears like a bears, those ears gave him a comical and cartoony look as a pup, and that somehow kept to him as he grew. They also sorta gave him the look of George burns. He had scale eyes, measuring the weight on the sled, making sure to tell me if something was to heavy. He always knew the right speed and distance to run, seeing to it that they get to take breaks when they need it.

He had a good sense of humor, playing small gentle jokes on the other dogs and me. For instance, if he got bored, he would play tricks on other dogs , blowing wind into their ears. I never saw any of them get mad at him for it. Except for one dog, but she was more surprised than angry.

He communicated with me, all the time. Once during a race, he got a stick from a tree. He carried that stick, all day and all night. When he ate, he would have it right next to him. When he slept, he would have it laid across of his paws. For weeks, months, he had that stick. He picked a new one each day, then i figured out he was using it to communicate. When he was holding the stick , I knew I was doing the right thing, that everything was right.
