POSITIVISM is the philosophy that states that the only authentic knowledge is scientific knowledge and that knowledge can only come from positive affirmation of this theory.

SOLIPSISM is the idea that one can only know that one's self exists, and that only things outside of your mind cannot exist. Emphasis on subjective reality, what we perceive to be true for one is not true for another.

EPICUREANISM is the skepticism of superstition and divinity. absence of pain and fear=sole meaning of existence.
ABSURDISM is the idea that the efforts of humanity to find meaning in the universe will ultimately fail because no such meaning exists, at least in relation to humanity. such meaning may exist, but the pursuit of it is not essential.
