charlotte moves to new york and buys an animal hospital, but right after a week, a new business moves right across the street and soon becomes popular for tech. they need an extra room and wants to buy the animal hospital, it is sold from the landlord, and he threatens to turn the place into a strong coffee place but after meeting strong-willed charlotte and her innocent, bubbly and country persona he doesn't for some reason.


"I'm telling you, it won't fit Charlotte!" Jason exclaimed.

"I'm telling you it will fit! You just have to push harder," I retaliated.

He began push with all his might while I tried to have my arms hold out. We were both trying to fit all the furniture into the small door of my new animal hospital. And Jason was currently fitting a desk into the door.

We moved to New York City just a week ago. Jason, my brother had gotten a job that paid better than his last, whereas I had been offered this place for a cheap price. Even though we came from the countryside, we had some idea of the city life, like subways!

Our family of fifteen, including uncles and cousins were fitted in one gigantic house, and behind mortgage. And being the oldest of the family that weren't parents, Jason and I had saw in opportunity that included being a mechanic and a vet.

And like an egg out of it's shell, the desk popped inside.

"Told you so," I said smirking.

"Yeah, but I probably cracked the door frame," Jason said flashing grin and pointing his thumb back as he walked inside. What twenty-eight year old was as childish as this? Jason, that's who.

He began to close the door, while coming back and ruffling my head, earning him an annoyed glare. "What?" he lifted his hands innocently.

I giggled at his goofiness.

This was our new home, with a low budget we had one bedroom above the animal hospital where we'd sleep. With of course a bathroom. We'd seen it only once and without a doubt we had polished it from the floor to the ceiling, not to mention it had mold.

Sighing I fell onto the couch and asked, "Tell me that's the last of the boxes!"

He chuckled at my dread, "Sure is, the truck just left, too."

He plopped himself right next to me. Well, on me.

"Hey Charlie, I heard this new entertainment business was relocating across the street."

"Where'd you hear that?" I asked nonchalantly with me face in the cushions, not caring the least bit. I wasn't into the latest news or gossip, but Jason was the type to want to know absolutely everything.

"Coworkers. They said the CEO was hot, like Harry Potter hot, don't you like that stuff?" he wiggled his brows suggestively, making me shiver in disgust.

"Ew."

"Oh c'mon! You used to like that stuff, y'know wizards and hot bearded men."

"Gross."

Jason rolled his eyes and began to get up, "Let's get some rest, kid. It's your first day tomorrow." He gave me a pointed look.

"Yeah yeah, call a twenty-six year old a kid," I said annoyingly. His response was to just flip me off.
