Le centre hospitalier Louise-Michel est l'œuvre de l'architecte qui a réalisé la Cité des Sciences de la Villette à Paris. Construit dès les premières années de la création de la ville nouvelle pour faire face aux besoins de santé de la population sans cesse grandissante, cet établissement a été inauguré par le ministre de la Santé, Jack Ralite. S'élevant sur un total de 9 niveaux, la structure principale est ajourée de percées quadrangulaires. En face se dresse un immeuble d'habitation réalisé par Chemetov, auteur entre autres du Ministère de l'économie et des finances de Bercy à Paris.
