LCD projeksiyon cihazlarının yapısında, RGB (Red-Green-Blue) dediğimiz Kırmızı-Yeşi-Mavi renkler için üç tane camdan meydana gelmiş LCD Panel bulunmaktadır. Bu üç adet panelden geçen ışık dikroik prizma bir lens sayesinde duvara yansıtılır.

DLP (Digital Light Processing) projeksiyon cihazları optik yarı iletken diye tabir edilen DMD (Digital Micromirror Device) sistemini kullanır. DMD yapısında bulunan çipler meydana gelen görüntüdeki her bir piksele karşılık görüntü oluşturmak için ışığı yansıtabilen binlerce küçük alüminyum ayna parçacıklarından meydana gelmiştir.
