For the final Columbia eSports meeting of the Fall 2016 semester we decided to hold one versus one tournaments for all the major games that were played this semester. We did Hearthstone, League of Legends, and Overwatch. The turn out for the event was around 30-40 people in total. In particular, our TeSPA Overwatch team finally managed to all make it to one meeting, and we had a great time doing the Overwatch 1v1 tournament, with various clutch plays happening throughout. In one of the photos (the fun group photo) the team can be seen lifting our champion, Ben "Regalium" Zhu, who went home with the Winston plushie as his prize. The Hearthstone tournament was also great fun, seeing as the new expansion had only recently been released, so the decks brought were very fresh and there were a lot of interesting strategies brought to the table. Ultimately, Charles "Pirifius" Wang walked home with the Hearthstone throw pillow as his prize, winning games with new variants of Renolock, Token Druid, and Control Priest. Finally our League of Legends tournament was prized one of the Gunnar glasses, with Martin Gracia taking home that one. Overall, it was a great time with many fun moments - a wonderful capstone to a semester of eSports.
