chapter 7 David gets a baby sister baby has to be issued a certificate name is petra
aunt Harriet wants to trade baby for a day so she can get certificate of normal Emily mom of David is mad that she has brought a blasphemy and refuses to trade baby joseph David's dad kicks Harriet out.later aunt Harriet body and baby body is found in the river
chapter 8 David is disturbed by the suicide of his aunt what is David's ability(seeing dreams of the future) uncle axel says that preachers don't even understand what they say uncle axel says that it is not the definition of a human that defines them it is their mind. people in the groups names Michael, Sally, Katherine, Mark, Anne, Rachel, and Rosalind Michael goes to school and learns and then teaches the rest and they learn together cause that is easier. They have to act like they don't know anything and they are good for six years until someone else joins the group.
chapter 9 David finds out that petra is telepathic and at night dreams again of Sophie being killed and petra too. David wants to tell petra but he cant because their lie has become a burden and she is too young. The crops aren't good in waknuk a farmer say it is because no one is getting rid of the deviations. axel says the increase in deviations is because of the weather. Anne announces she is getting married
Chapter 10 Anne is marrying alan the same person that reported Sophie. she says there isn't enough boy for girls and no one understands her love except for Rosalinda and David. Axel says that love is dangerous and one would do anything for it and 7 people are important that love. David wants to be killed instead of killing Anne. David is now thinking about Rosalinda and the impossibility between them because she is his father's enemy's daughter. Rachel Anne's sister says that alan has been found dead and Anne thinks it is the group, therefore, the group makes a plan to flee if snitched on. Anne is found dead and she has left a note saying that they killed her but Rachel finds it and burns it
Chapter 11 petra is attacked in the forest and a random stranger(Jerome Skinner) is questioning how they knew she was in danger. David teaches petra and finds out she is better than anyone one else. axel says that people are asking about David and Rosalinda and Anne told alan before and then axel shot him so that he can keep quite. now the group seriously prepares.
