The Odyssey is written by Homer, it is an epic poem about an adventure that Odysseus takes. He is a bad leader because it is his fault they get eaten because he decided to stay in the cave. Odysseus mistake erase the wiser decision that he makes. They got trap in the cave by the cyclops and even though Odysseus made up a plan to get them out, it is his fault they are trapped. Odysseus lead them in the cave and the men didn't want to, so Odysseus should of listened to his men but he didn't so that makes him a inconsistent leader because he can be better communicator and listen to what his men are telling him. In conclusion Odysseus was not a conscientious leader to his men because some of his crew died under his leadership. Odysseus was able to get out of the cave because he had a plan to get everyone out by distracting the cyclops.

Yet i refused. I wished to see the cave man, what he had to offer no pretty sight, it turned out, for my friends. We lit a fire, burnt an offering, and took some cheese to eat then sat in silence around the embers, waiting. When he came he had a load of dry boughs on his shoulder to stoke his fire at suppertime. He dumped it with a great crash into that hollow cave, and we all scattered fast to the far wall. Then over the broad cavern floor he ushered the ewes he meant to milk. He left his rams and he goals in the yard outside, and swung high overhead a slab of solid rock to close the cave. Two dozen four-wheeled wagons, with heaving wagon teams, could not have stirred the tonnage of that rock from where he wedged it over the door sill. Next he took his seat and milked his bleating ewes. A practiced job he made of it, giving each ewe her suckling thickened his milk,then, into curd and whey,sieved out the curds to drip in with baskets, and poured they whey to stand in bowls cooling until he drank it for his supper,
