"Moooom! I'm going to be late to school," I yell to my mother as I swing my backpack onto my shoulder. I continue yelling, "Let's go!" My mother rushes towards me from the kitchen with a set of keys dangling from her index finger. She slips on her shoes and asks hurriedly, "Did you eat breakfast?" I nod as I open the door and let her go through first, "Yes, I ate a croissant." My mother nods, "Good. Now hurry! We need to go!" I accidently close the door with too much force and slam it instead. I shrink a bit, afraid my mother would scold me, but when I looked at her, she was just getting into the car normally... Well, in a rush, but normally. She rolled down the window and yelled, "Come on!" I glance back at the door, but jog my way to my side of the car. I open the door and get in, closing the door behind me. My mom backs the car out of the driveway and onto the road before I could even reach for my seatbelt.

<Hello. I'm Rikki Akatsuki. I've just moved into a new neighborhood, and you already know what that means: new school. Today is the first day, and my mom had gotten used to waking up later than the time we have to wake up at now. You see, back in our old neighborhood, my mother let me walk to school and I'd be responsible for getting to school on time. But since we moved, she wants to get a good look at the neighborhood before she lets me do that again.
