Alright, so here's what legitimately worked for me. It might not work for you, but I'd think it would work for a lot of people.

>Me, starting.
- 5'9.
- Skinny fat
- Zero confidence.
- Moderately bad acne.
- Yellow/crooked teeth.
- Very poor social skills/spaghetti spilling.
- Zero fashion sense.

>What I did.
Gym+diet meme until otter mode. Never got huge, never got really ripped. I just look like I'm in decent shape. Got teeth whitened + have been using braces. Started paying attention to fashion and making sure clothes fit correctly. Dress kind of preppy now. Forced myself to talk to people. Have failed/been turned down 1000s of times by now, but rejection no longer stings anymore.

Here's the big thing though: Something I had always been missing due to my social retardation was how to pick up on subtext/body language and how to maintain eye contact without looking nervous. The only thing that gets you there is fucktons of practice. But this made the single biggest difference for me. Way more important than the clothes or body or teeth.

Another thing was training myself to stop actively thinking about what I was going to say. Best way to explain it is I used to talk like I was trying to write a response. Instead, you've just got to learn how to put things on autopilot and ride. If you pay attention to anything, the words really aren't nearly as important as the body language and subtext. It's like learning to communicate in vibes and signals instead of talking.

This was weird and unnatural as fuck to me at first, but now that I have it, I have no problem talking to girls. Thats not saying I can get girls out of my league to date me. I can't. But I can reliably be successful with girls around my level, which would be like 4-6 range.
