Lamentable experience. I am not the kind to leave negative feedback to harm anyone's reputation, but the way this seller refused to sell this item to me after winning, with no acknowledgement of eBay policy or kind request is disrespectful. In the listing he stated he wanted to get paid immediately and I was working towards doing so. I consider within 24 hrs as immediate. All I wanted was to get an invoice with better shipping. The shipping that eBay suggested for this item was $154.04 total (inc. $54.46 mandatory import charges). I informed the seller that this price is unreasonably high for an item weighing only 12 lbs and costing $163. I told the seller about an alternative for $77.95 Priority Mail International® Large Flat Rate Box with USPS. The seller says that a fur coat wouldn't fit in such a small box. I tell the seller that it is for large boxes and that they accept any box that will fit the item as long as it is under 20 lbs. Sadly, this seller just ends our negotiation claiming shamelessly that he just went with the 2nd offer from a Canadian buyer who already paid. International shipping is just too much of a hassle this seller claims, while international shipping was offered in the listing. Isn't Canada another country? The seller claims that eBay suggested to go with the 2nd offer, but we haven't officially cancelled via eBay, so that is impossible. I tell him to refund the Canadian buyer, to give me a new correct invoice and his paypal e-mail so I can pay and he can mark it as payment received, but then the seller claims to have shipped it already. All this happened within 24 hrs of me winning the item. I am appalled. I assume that the seller just wasn't content with the winning bid and he wants to sell it for a higher price. As correct eBay users we shouldn't accept this kind of rhetoric from sellers. I am opening an official claim against rdoset.
