Apologize for the lack of pics, i will have some professional pics up within the week. The Grey E34 is an example of the exact kit and what it will look like when done right.

Selling my 1989 BMW 535i. It was purchased to turn into a show car and collected, NOT daily driven.

A little history on the BMW, purchased from an elderly owner who also wanted it to collect. Was told when he purchased it, it sat in the garage for about a year before he was forced to sell it due to personal reasons. Before him, the original owner imported an extremely rare lip kit made by a German company named, Zender. He also knew BMWs plastic cooling systems were a flaw and upgraded and replaced some key components. Ever since the day i purchased it, i've only put less then 1000 miles on it. Like i said, this was intended to be a show car so i wanted to keep it as clean and close to original as possible but with better parts like the previous owner aimed for.
EXTERIOR:

For a car this old, the paint is pretty much perfect. It could use some touch ups on the plastic and rubber components, but nothing a nice full detail and trim touch up cant fix.

Slight dent on the passenger fender, no paint damage and was quoted it would be a quick and simple job to do a paintless dent repair.

A noticeable 2" crack on the passenger side front lip, nothing some basic body work wouldn't fix.

Now, about the Zender kit itself. It is all authentic with proper factory stamping to prove the authenticity. I believe its made out of a high quality polyurethane material, not cheap fiberglass.
The 7 piece kit itself can easily be sold for 1,000-1,500 alone 5 years back. To this day ive yet to be able to find a complete kit in this good of a condition for sale, let alone a kit for sale at all.

It came with chrome BMW Style 4s. These wheels are not in the best condition due to the chrome chipping. I purchased and installed some BMW Style 29s out of a newer E39 and installed them with the proper hub centric rings. You still will get the Style 4s with the car, plus the mint condition 5th full sized spare.

INTERIOR:

Black leather interior. Everything inside is in pretty good shape. Only noticeable issues are the front seat arm rest, and the headliner could use a quick steam cleaning.

Previous owner replaced the gauge cluster with a new one, as these things eventually have bad pixel issues from improper cleaning.

I replaced the OBC (on board computer) as the old one started to have pixel issues.

One con are the locks, i was told most E34s eventually need to get the locks resynced through a simple process that can be done at home in minutes. I have yet to do so since the interior was on the bottom of my list of things to do. With that being said, the driver side, and rear passenger locks are stuck in the unlock position, while the front passenger and rear driver works perfectly fine.

Second con is the factory radio. Its stuck on CODE, meaning it needs a security code that you can only get from the dealer to unlock. I left that alone as you can upgrade to an up to date audio deck without any issues bypassing the code completely. The CODE has nothing to do with the driveability of a car, but to protect the radio from theft alone.

Everything else functions as it should, windows, power mirrors, sunroof, lights, defrost, climate control ect.

ENGINE/TRANSMISSION:

The engine is the original motor with only 156,XXX miles. These are one of the most sought after motors for E30/E34s being how simple, reliable (up to 300k), and easily they can be boosted with little mods done to it. I've had employes at auto shops offer to buy the motor off me for this exact purpose, as i was planning on doing a newer BMW motor swap, but after i did my research i decided to keep the M30 because of all the positive possibilities.

I will be honest, and say the motor needs TLC as the two previous owner just garaged her and were not mechanics themselves. So its not as clean as i like, but like i said i was a detailer and never got to that part of the project. No leaks other then dirt and grime from 25 years of driving.

Now, regarding the parts replaced by the previous owners and myself.
94+ bigger radiator, reservoir and hoses were all recently replaced.
So after i got the car, i replaced the thermostat and water pump with an upgraded metal impeller vs the factory plastic stuff to find out the previous owners also did the same awhile back.
Also took the original ALT to get rebuilt, not just the regulator like most would do, but the more expensive rectifier.
Retrofitted a Volvo electric fan, the slimmer version of the infamous high power Taurus SHO fan. I just don't trust clutch fans.
New temp switch, but decided to bypass it and run switches as i made the decision to "simplify" the car. Pretty much removing as much electronics as possible since BMWs tend to have a million of them, causing more headaches then convenience as they were intended.
I also pulled the valve cover to inspect the valve train. One problem that is notorious in E34s were the oil spray bar banjo bolt popping out. So i removed them, and used loctight for preventative measures. I was also going to readjust the lifters, but didn't find the need too.

It also seems to have an after market exhaust as its a little louder then normal. But it doesn't sound like a Honda civic. Quite sporty but still quiet enough for you to not even notice it. The catalytic converters are probably bad since they seem to be the original ones. But this car is Emission exempt so no need for them anyways.

Transmission shifts real smooth, surprised me for a car this age. I driven newer BMWs that's not even that smooth.

I did two oil changes in this car to flush and clean out the engine as much as possible from sitting in a garage most its life.

SUSPENSION:
I never got to this part of the car much as it never gave me reason, and i planned on running aftermarket air bags. No blown shocks what so ever, they still ride quite stiff. The bushings are also in pretty good shape, none of them torn or leaking, or even squeaking.
Now after reading all that, take into consideration as i purchased this car as a collector and only replaced the important mechanical stuff that i cant replace in the future with aftermarket parts, plus the time frame i had this car. I barely had enough time to do everything i wanted and did everything by order of importance and convenience.
Now, the question we always ask. WHY am i selling it?
Well, this is my 2nd project car, and with my new career, i am in need of a 4x4. Piorities first, and i hate to let this thing go. I honestly do not want to sell this car unless i get what i put into it, or trade, yes, TRADE for a nice 4X4. Ive seen these cars go up more and more in price for a clean one. YES, there are other E34s out there that range from 2-3k, but they ALL have over 200k and beat to shit. I can easily save this car till summer and relisted it for more.

With all of that being said, feel free ask any questions that i have yet to answer. If you are looking into trading, please send me detailed info, and pics. I will reply asap. Sorry for the extra long ad, i hate reading as much as the next guy. But this will save me alot of time from repeating myself to potential buyers.
Thanks!
