While I am sure you all are enjoying your time on the University of Michigan Solar Car Team, Michael Katz and I are looking for talented people who are interested in puzzles (puzzle examples to come later)! However, it does sadden me to say that it is happening on a Saturday (April 14th) and so you will have to miss a work day if you do join us in our adventures (read locked in a room).
In 2016, my team (Leda Daehler, Michael Katz, Ian Pudney, and I) placed 4th at UofM. The overall first place prize were Microsoft Surfaces for everyone. The regional first place prize were xBoxes for everyone.
In 2017, my team (Leda Daehler, Michael Katz, Denny Zhang, and I) placed 2nd at UofM. We won $100 gift cards for each of us. The overall winner (in the country) won Microsoft Surfaces for everyone on the team.
As you can tell, the prizes are HUGEEEEEEEEEEE and should persuade you to sit down from ~10AM to 9PM solving fun puzzles (if that itself hasn't hooked you)!

As you can see, there is a large variety of puzzle types. Ranging from wordplay to standard puzzles to logic puzzles and even to puzzles that seem to make absolutely no sense (don't worry I've been there too)!
