I will be covering Weeks 1 and 2 Today vs the Myrtle Beach Milotics and the (Reeadd) Rhydons.
Read team list. You can see he had no Electric switch in; Sceptile is not a switch in. So Specs Heliolisk was going to put in work.
Team was also super slow; so I could run a lot of positive natures.
I brought a scarf Qwilfish Week 1, with enough attack to OHKO Sceptile.
A defensive core of Steelix, Turtonator and Slowking could take on his offensive threats.
Rockium Z Virizion w/ STAB can run through his team at 2. I had plenty of other ways of dealing with Toxicroak.
So, lets go into the match...
Week 2 saw me once again have the better speed tiers. He had two offensive threats in the form of Scyther and Kadabra but were both 105 speed and I felt like the Kadabra wouldn't be scarfed. His next fastest mon was way down with his Gallade; so a lot of prep was based around dealing with a SD Gallade, which he never brought.
I have managed to bring the entire draft as of this week; with 4 debuts.
Defensive Payapa Berry Qwil which still outsped most of his team
Scarf Heliolisk, again no electric switch ins
Choice Banded Braviary as nothing wants to take the hits its giving out.
Golurk w/ Colbur Berry could offensively check most of his threats
A-Persian w/ Darkinium Z; team support and would again stop SD Gallade using Foul Play
Assualt Vest Cryogonal can deal the damage to his whole team thanks to Freeze-Dry, I was hoping to pick up some cheeky KOs with Ice Shard the only hard stop was Assualt Vest Eelektross which I had to make sure to preserve Braviary to break through.
He wasn't at his best; but wanted to play anyway. So lets see how it went
