Gainesville High School is one of the most successful high schools in Alachua County. One of their magnet programs, the Cambridge Program, is a creative and innovative program in Science, Math, Technology, and Language Arts. They prepare their students to have sufficient knowledge, abilities, and skills in these areas. At Gainesville High School there are many programs such, as After- School Programs, Sports, Academy of Future Teachers, and the Academy of Health Professions. This gives me the opportunity to do what I think is best for my future.

Gainesville High School’s mission is to educate all their students to achieve their highest level of academic performance. I’m interested in the Cambridge Program because I believe that the education I would receive from taking part in that program would prepare me for my future goal which is a career in medicine.

I have been in the Cambridge Program at Westwood Middle School for two years, and I would like to continue taking the program in high school. I have grown in my knowledge of Reading, Language Arts, Math, and Science. The program itself has motivated me to achieve higher academic goals, such as, going to medical school and becoming a doctor. In the Cambridge Program there are AP classes and with those classes, I can succeed in College. AP classes will help me get ahead of the game. As a Gainesville High Hurricane, I will learn skills that will help me reach my goals for my future. I believe that being in the Cambridge Program will help me because I will be provided with classes that will support the completion of the requirements that are given for my future career goal. Cambridge can prepare me for the future that I want. It is a great program for me to attend because it will help me accomplish the understanding that I would need in order to achieve the completion of classes that are required.

I am very excited about becoming a Gainesville High Hurricane because of the amazing Cambridge Program and Health Profession Program as well as the high academic standards. I hope you will consider my application for this wonderful program!
