Lightest Double Stroller
When looking for a light double stroller, weight and folded size are the most important aspects to consider. When not in use, pick a stroller that is easy to handle and compact. This will make it easier to store in your car trunk, and also to navigate through airport gates and international roads.
The best lightweight strollers have a simple, easy fold that allows them to stand on their own. This eases the burden on the body of the parent. Many also come with a wide variety of seating options and can accommodate infant car seat carriers.
Kolcraft Cloud Plus
Created for families that are on moving. Lightweight and compact, with the ability to fold in one hand. The front suspension and all-terrain wheel and the multi-position reclining seat, can accommodate children weighing up to 50 pounds. Trays for both children and parents, large storage basket and 3-tier canopy that has a peek-a-boo window for maximum sun protection.
The Cloud was awarded one of the lowest marks in our quality tests because it has a flimsy, hard plastic seat and a design that appears outdated. It's also more expensive than other lightweight strollers. This is a bad option for parents looking for the cheapest option.
It's not the tiniest stroller, but it's got enough features to be worth a look. Its swiveling wheels make easy to maneuver it on flat surfaces. It can also leap over curbs without much effort. The low handle of the Cloud is a problem, however; it's nearly at knee height, and not adjustable. It's not a comfortable thing to push it with your legs suspended in the air and it's also not helping that it's not padded.
In our tests, we found the Cloud to be easy to open and set up. To close it, it's a bit more difficult. You must slide the slider before you press a large white button. This can be frustrating, especially if you're juggling kids while doing it.
The Cloud comes with a small but spacious storage basket. It can fit the size of a large diaper bag. It's not the greatest width however you'll probably need to leave something inside for the back to take it out. The Cloud includes two tray for parents and children with two cup holders, but both are too narrow to hold larger bottles or cups.
Kolcraft is an established family business that has been in operation since 1946. The first products they made were crib pads and diapers and now they manufacture various baby items including highchairs as well as infant car seats, strollers and toys. The company is located in Chicago and is an American manufacturer.
Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS
Jeep Destination Ultralight is a lightweight double stroller with a minimalist design that's perfect for trips. It's super light at just 18 pounds (lighter than many single strollers!) and folds flat for easy transport and storage. It also features independently reclining seats and large all-weather SPF 50 sun visors with windows that peek out and extra-large under seat storage bags. The visors can be adjusted to accommodate children of various heights. It also has an integrated parking brake with one step and is Disney-sized approved.
The swivel wheels of the Jeep are also fantastic to maneuver over bumps and uneven surfaces. However, this stroller doesn't accept car seats so your kids should be at least 6 months old and have a solid neck control to be able to ride in the front seat. It does have a nice, three panel sun canopy, though and each seat comes with its own snack tray, as well as cup holders for the parents.
Valco Baby Snap Duo Trend is another incredibly lightweight side by side stroller. It's a bit heavier than the Kolcraft Cloud Plus at 23 pounds, but it's slim and narrow (26.5 inches wide!) and has a ton of elegant features that make it perfect for travel. It's a simple fold, is very movable and can be tucked away in airplane overhead compartments and trunks easily.
The Joovy Kooper X2 tri-folds and is ultralight, like the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ Double or Mountain Buggy Nano Duo. double car seat stroller to the Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS but has some key differences. It's also slightly more expensive, but it also has better maneuverability and has an extra sun canopy. It also comes with a handy carry strap and can hold kids up to 44 lbs per seat.
Summer 3D Pac CS+ for infants
If you're looking for a stroller that's lightweight but also loaded with features look no further than Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+. It's not just lightweight, weighing just 13 pounds but also has a lot of storage space, including cupholders for both parents and children as well as a sippy-cup pouch for children and a parent's storage pouch and so on. double stroller with car seat is also compatible with a child's seat and comes with a brake with a flip-flop feature that can be easily engaged. This stroller is designed to grow along with your child. It can be transformed from a baby to a toddler stroller simply by attaching the car seat adapters (sold separate) and it's suitable for children 6 months and older.
This stroller has only swivel-wheels and no locking capability, so it may not be the best option for steep or rocky terrain. double stroller with car seat 's still a good option for families of all sizes, since it can be easily maneuvered on paved surfaces and other smooth surfaces.
This is among the lightest and compact double strollers with full-size features. The quick-close feature allows the stroller to fold with just one hand, and it's small enough to fit easily into your garage or trunk. It can also be used as a stoller for travel and is compatible without additional adapters to most car seats.
The Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ is distinct from other lightweight travel strollers because it features two separate seats that can hold up to 100 pounds. The seats come with individual leg rests and 3-panel canopies that include an open-top sunvisor and a peekaboo window.
The seats are cushioned for your baby's comfort and come with a padded 5-point safety harness that can be adjusted to three different heights. Each seat has an infant cushion that is perfect for newborns. The cup holders for parent and child, the cellphone holders, and the huge storage basket will be loved by parents. The stroller is also available with the Yoyo+ Board which transforms it into a tandem.
Joovy Kooper X2
The Kooper X2 double stroller is an excellent choice for parents looking for an easy-to-use double that can hold two kids. Its sling-style seats are comfortable and they provide the same amount of headroom as other double strollers. This allows children to sit together. Contrary to other strollers with side-by-side seating this one Kooper X2 offers a fully reclined seat, which is a great option for napping. The recline feature is simple to use, but it doesn't really go flat. For taller children, there may be a leg hanging in reclined positions. It also has a large canopy that we found to be more effective at blocking out sun than other strollers in our evaluation of the top double strollers.
The stroller is light enough to to maneuver through door frames. This was a major issue with other models we have tested. It folds easily and the handlebars are located close to the ground. The only drawback is its small storage space, which can feel tight when stuffed with things for kids.
Joovy is a family-owned company that makes unique functional, durable and high-quality baby products. Their range of products includes innovative baby bottles, such as the Joovy Zoom X2 Double stroller and an innovative raincover that fits a wide range of popular strollers. The company's products are moderately priced, and they usually come with fun designs that attract children.
During our lab tests of double strollers, we evaluate various aspects to determine how easy a model is to use, such as how easy it is to set up and fold, adjust the safety harness as well as close and open the brakes, lift and carry the stroller as if placing it into a car trunk, and install and remove the infant car seat (if appropriate). We also looked at the durability and strength and also whether the strollers have a parent tray which can accommodate both child trays.
The Joovy Kooper X2 received the highest score in our Strollers Test Program due to its user-friendliness. It also got the highest score in our most recent guide to the top double strollers. Its simple-to-use design features an easy-to-use, tilt-free recline with one hand, a large canopy that can rotate forward to provide shade, and features a mesh for ventilation you can see through when it's tilted, individual kid trays with built-in cup holders, zipper pockets for parents and a large storage basket.
