There may be lithium battery stocks of poor quality cheap cellphone batteries because let's face it, cheap does not really mean good quality. But there are cases when this is proven otherwise.

All the phones now come with lithium ion batteries and charging should not be an issue ...although it's best not to charge them over 24 hours..Overnight every night is fine...they all do have a life though leaving it off when you don't need it can extend that. Although you would miss calls.

Camera - a fragile thing, prone to all sorts of harmful influences. If you want it served for a long time, then pay attention to the mechanical structure. If the shell metal, then at least not crack if dropped. There are models designed to operate in extreme conditions. Traditionally Pentax pays great attention to protect their equipment from the adverse effects of the environment.
