Don't Make This Silly Mistake On Your Best Robot Vacuum For Carpet
The Best Robot Vacuum For Carpet

Whether you've got low or high-pile carpet There's a robot vacuum for you. These smart appliances will navigate your home in a way that is automated clean up debris and clean under furniture.

They are equipped with advanced features, such as mapping that helps you navigate around your home and remember the location of furniture. They can also increase suction power to clear dirtier areas.

iRobot Roomba 694

The iRobot Roomba 694 is a robot vacuum for entry-level use that performs well on both carpets with a low pile or bare floor. It has a decent suction and can clean all kinds of debris, but it struggles with larger debris such as rice or sand. It also does a good job of removing pet hair but it's not resistant to tangling like the high-end Roomba models like the I6 or j7.

The Roomba 694 is easy to use. It has three buttons on the top cover. "Clean," which triggers a cleaning process and 'Dock', which places it in its charging station and the 'Spot' button, which triggers the targeted cleaning. You can control it using an app for smartphones that lets you to schedule cycles, stop and start the cycle and change settings. You can also pair the device with smart home devices such as Alexa or Google Assistant to control it through voice.

This vacuum cleaner is slower than others, but can still be able to reach the majority of corners and crevices. It comes with a large bin that makes it easy to empty. It is compatible with digital maps and virtual barriers that let you make it impossible to clean certain areas or even stop cleaning completely when you want to stop it from getting stuck on something.

It's not the best in its price, but it's superior to other models. The Roborock E4 is more advanced than the Roomba 694, with better cleaning performance on carpets with low and no pile. It also has a longer-lasting battery and a more efficient route. It is also more robust, has fewer components that require regular maintenance, and costs less over its lifetime, and charges faster than 694.

You should also consider other models from the iRobot range, including the v7 or the 981. They're more expensive but they provide significant improvements over the 694 in terms of cleaning efficiency on both bare and low-pile floors, use an efficient cleaning path and come with a larger dirt compartment, are more efficient to charge, maneuver themselves more easily, and are more easy to connect with smart home devices.

Shark RV1001AE IQ

This self-emptying robot that is budget-friendly does a decent job on hard floors and low-pile carpet. Its combination brush reaches the edges and corners and it automatically increases suction as soon as it senses carpet. It also is effective in cleaning dirt that is embedded in mid-pile carpet. The IQ has a tiny footprint and has a self-emptying feature. However, if you want to change floor levels on the map, or set no-go zones you'll have to manually reset it in order to do so, which is quite trouble.

The IQ's application has advanced mapping and automation capabilities however it doesn't have no-go zones that are available on iRobot models. Its smart-pathing navigation system provides greater maneuverability, and its high-pile carpet cleaning mode cleans well, but it tends to get caught up in rug tassels. Additionally, its iHome speaker lets you control the robot with voice commands.

In our tests, we discovered that the IQ handled pet hair well. affordable robot vacuum was able to eliminate a large amount of debris on floors that were not bare, and a fair amount of medium-pile rug. It was less effective on shag carpets, as it struggled to get at dirt and dust that was embedded in the fibers. It was capable of navigating chair legs, tight spaces, and the base of a wooden IKEA step stool. We did notice that it was a little slower on floors with no flooring but it quickly recovered and performed more thoroughly than the other robots we tried.

The IQ is a better choice over the iRobot Roomba 694 for most applications. It has a bigger dustbin and a longer battery lifespan and is more adept at navigating obstacles. It also has mopping attachments that can handle sticky debris. The iRobot, on the other hand feels better built and has fewer parts that require maintenance or replacement and incurs fewer ongoing costs, and can even create virtual no-go zones using its companion app. It can continue cleaning where it left off even if its battery runs out before it's finished. The iRobot can also be controlled via voice commands, which is a major benefit for many users.

Eufy 11S

The RoboVac 11S from Eufy isn't the most feature-rich robot vacuum available however it offers powerful cleaning capabilities at a low price. It's designed for budget-conscious buyers who don't require a complicated mapping system or app to control the device. This robot can run for up to an hour and comes with the remote, a cleaning tool, AC power adapter, charging base, and additional filters.

The 11S is slim, elegant and has a tempered glass upper deck that resembles the brushed appearance of aluminum. It's a nice departure from Roomba, Samsung, and Neato designs that are more practical and industrial.

The eufy11S was successful in our tests to remove larger particles and fine dust from floors. It was unable to thoroughly clean medium and high-pile carpets. The device is prone to hit furniture and people in its course. However, it is able to detect obstacles with sensors. It stops and emits a loud noise when it encounters an obstacle. It is then possible to manually steer the device around it and get it to work again.

The BoostIQ mode is a great feature of the Eufy11S. It allows you to configure the robot to automatically adjust suction force based on the floor type and the level of dirt. It's also easy to use the remote to direct the 11S in the direction you'd like it to go.

If you don't have many furniture in the room you'd like to vacuum Single Room Mode is an excellent option. The eufy will spend 30 minutes intensely cleaning the area that it is assigned to.

You can also choose Edge Cleaning that restricts the time spent in each location to 20 minutes to ensure optimal battery life. This feature allows the eufy to move in a spiraling fashion cleaning edges and corners.

Miele Complete C1

The Miele Complete C1 is an excellent mid-range canister robotic vacuum that is a top performer on carpet. Its performance is also excellent on floors with no floor. It is able to remove small particles like rice effortlessly, and it doesn't lose suction performance even as its dirt bin fills. Its design that is allergy-friendly and sealed with air captures allergens to keep your family healthy. It comes with an onboard HEPA filter and a self-emptying bin, so you won't need to purchase additional filters or a separate vacuum bag.

It's not as effective as more expensive models, but is still great for deep cleaning and tackling the toughest stains. Two front cameras provide live feeds of images on your smartphone, and it has one of the top obstacles-avoiding systems we've seen. It also has a large dustbin, a long runtime and a quick and smooth clean-up.

Unlike most other robots, the Complete C1 can switch between the standard powerhead and the turbo head to suit different types of floors. The turbo head is best on low-pile or high-pile carpeting while the standard powerhead is ideal for floors with no flooring and light carpets. It also features an automatic height adjustment system, which allows it to easily adjust to different kinds of flooring without manual adjustments.

This model comes bundled with an SBD 285-3 Classic Combination Floorhead that can handle hard floors as well as carpeting of medium-pile. The powerhead can also be easily maneuvered and can reach hard-to-reach areas. It has five levels of surface adjustment as well as an off-brush switch to prevent hairs from getting tangled.

The Classic C1 has a self cleaning brush roll and the UtraClean Mode that will clean the same area three times, and a self-emptying bin that can be emptied by pressing a single button. The noise level of this model is more pronounced than other models. However its powerful motor with 1,200 watts of power and robust construction are worth the additional cost.

If you're willing a little more, the Miele Complete C3 is an excellent all-round canister robot vacuum that performs better on carpet than the Classic C1. It is more efficient on all floor types and feels more sturdy and comes with an HEPA filter.
