It also has a camera sensor that can snap the Roomba back to its original position when it starts drifting from its actual location.

iRobot also added an additional set of rollers beneath the Roomba that do not have bristles and are therefore more likely to avoid the tangles that previous models. They are also taller and can fit under beds or couches with low sides. They're designed to make this model more movable on various flooring types.

Despite these slight limitations, the Roomba 980 remains one of our best-performing robots, and isn't even close to being as expensive as the other top-of-the-line models on this list. The iRobot Roomba can be set up quickly and is ready to use right away. After removing the yellow bin insert and battery pull tab from its undercarriage you just plug it into a wall socket or its Home Base docking stations, click the "Clean button" and let it work. It will return to docking station when it is running out of battery or is full of sand. There are also indicator lights on top that show when its bin is empty, when it requires recharging, or when it loses Wi-Fi.
