10 Things Your Competitors Can Inform You About Best Robot Vacuum For Carpet
The Best Robot Vacuum For Carpet

There's a robot that can be found for any carpet type, whether it's high-pile or low-pile. These intelligent appliances can are able to navigate your home on their own, pick up debris and clean under furniture.

A lot of them come with advanced features, like mapping, which helps them navigate your home and recall furniture positioning. They can also increase suction power to clear dirtier areas.

iRobot Roomba 694"

The Roomba from iRobot is a budget-friendly robot vacuum that performs well on both bare flooring and floor carpets with a low pile. It has good suction and cleans up most debris, though it struggles with larger debris such as rice or sand. It is capable of cleaning pet hair, but is not as resistant to tangling as premium Roomba models like the I6 and j7.

The Roomba is easy to use. It has three buttons on its top cover. 'Clean,' which initiates a cleaning session, 'Dock,' which places it in its charging station, and the 'Spot' button, which triggers an individualized cleaning. It can be controlled via a smartphone application that allows you schedule cycles, stop/start the cycle and change settings. You can also connect it with smart home devices like Alexa or Google Assistant for voice-controlled operation.

This vacuum is slower than others, but it's still able to reach the majority of crevices and corners. It comes with a large bin, which makes it easier to empty. It is compatible with digital mapping and virtual barriers, which lets you make the robot avoid certain areas or to stop cleaning altogether to avoid it from becoming stuck.

It's not the top in its price range but it's better than most other options. The Roborock E4 has a better cleaning efficiency than the Roomba 694, and it is able to clean both carpets with low pile as well as bare. It also has a longer-lasting battery and a better route. It is also more robust, has fewer parts that require regular maintenance, costs less over its lifetime, and charges faster than 694.

You may also want to consider other models in the iRobot range, such as the v7 or 981. They're more expensive, but they are significantly better than the 694 in terms of performance on both low- and bare floors, use an efficient cleaning path and have a larger dirt compartment, are quicker to charge, can move more easily, and are much easier to connect to smart home devices.

Shark RV1001AE IQ

This budget self-emptying robot does a good job on hard floors as well as carpets with low pile. Its combinator brush gets to corners and edges and it automatically boosts suction once it spots carpet. It is also effective at cleaning dirt embedded in the middle of the pile carpet. The IQ has a tiny footprint and has a self-emptying feature. If you'd like to change the floor levels or set zones that aren't allowed, you'll have to manually reset the map.

The IQ's app comes with advanced mapping and automation capabilities however it doesn't have no-go zones which are included on iRobot models. Its smart-pathing navigational system results in superior maneuverability and its high-pile carpet mode cleans well, though it tends to get caught up on rug tassels, and its iHome speaker lets you operate the robot by voice commands.

During our tests, we found that the IQ handled pet hair with ease. It was able to remove a large amount of debris on bare floors and a good amount on medium-pile rug. It was a little less effective on shag carpets where it struggled to get at dirt and dust embedded in the fibers. It did a good job of maneuvering chair legs and tight spaces, as well as the base of a wooden IKEA step stool. It was slower on floors that were not paved but it was able to recover speed and was more efficient than the other robots we have tested.

The IQ is a more suitable choice for the majority of users than the iRobot Roomba. It has a bigger dustbin and a longer battery life and is more adept in navigating around obstacles. It also has a mopping attachment that can handle sticky messes. On the other hand the iRobot is built better, has fewer parts that require maintenance or replacement and has lower recurring costs, and can create virtual no-go zones through its companion app. It can continue cleaning the point it started, even if the battery runs out before it has finished. The iRobot is also controlled by voice commands, which is an advantage for many users.

Eufy 11S

The eufy RoboVac 11S isn't the most feature-rich robot vacuum around but it does provide powerful cleaning capabilities at the price of. The RoboVac 11S is made for those who are budget conscious and don't need a complex mapping system, or an app, to control it. The robot is able to last for up to an hour. It includes the remote control, cleaning tool, and AC power adapter.

The 11S is slim and sleek, with a tempered glass upper deck that is covered with plastic, which is finished to appear like brushed aluminum. It's a nice change from the utilitarian and industrial designs of Roomba, Samsung and Neato.

The eufy11S performed well in our tests of removing larger particles and fine dust from flooring. However, it struggled to give high and medium pile carpets a thorough clean. It also has a tendency to smack into furniture and people that are in its path however, it's able detect obstacles with sensors. When it comes across them, it stops and lets out an alarm so that you can manually steer it through the obstacle before getting back to work.

Another great feature of the eufy11S is its BoostIQ mode, which allows you to set the robot to automatically adjust its suction power to match floor type and level of dirt. The remote control makes it easy to direct the 11S to the desired area.

Single Room Mode is a great option for those with small furniture in the space you want to vacuum. The eufy will spend up to 30 minutes cleaning the area it is assigned.

You can also choose Edge Cleaning that restricts the amount of time in each location to 20 minutes for optimal battery life. With this option, the eufy will move in a spiral pattern, tackling corners and edges for a thorough clean.

Miele Complete C1

The Miele Complete C1 canister robot is a fantastic mid-range vacuum cleaner that excels on carpet. Its performance is also excellent on bare floors. It is able to remove small particles like rice easily and it doesn't suffer from suction power even when its dirt bin fills. Its allergy-friendly design and air-sealed body traps allergens and keeps your family healthy. It comes with an onboard HEPA and self-emptying bin so you don't need any additional filters or a vacuum bag.

It's not as effective as more expensive models, but it's great for deep cleaning and fighting stains. Its two front cameras deliver live images to your smartphone, and it comes with one of the most effective obstacle avoidance systems we've seen. It has a huge bin, a long runtime and an easy, bump-free clean-up.

In contrast to other robots, unlike most other robots, Complete C1 can switch between the standard powerhead and the turbo head for different flooring types. The turbo head is best on low-pile or high-pile carpeting while the standard powerhead is ideal for bare floors and light rug. It also has an automated height adjustment system, which lets it easily adjust to different kinds of flooring without manual adjustments.

This model comes bundled with a SBD 285-3 Classic Combination Floorhead that can handle both hard floors and carpeting of medium-pile. The powerhead is also easy to move and can reach tough spots. vacuum mop cleaner robot has five different surface adjustments and a switch that stops the brushroll to prevent hairs from getting tangled.

The Classic C1 also has a self-cleaning brush roll, an UtraClean mode that goes back and forth over the same area three times to give the best possible clean, and a self-emptying dustbin which can be filled with the touch of the button. The noise level is a little higher than some other models, but its powerful 1,200-watt motor and sturdy build make it worth the extra expense.

If you don't mind spending an extra amount it is the Miele Complete C3 canister robot vacuum is a great all-around robot vacuum. It is more effective on carpets than the Classic C1. It is more effective on all types of floors and is more robustly built, and comes with a HEPA filter.
