I am writing to refer Miss Jones who I suspect she has an ectopic pregnancy. Your urgent assessment would be highly valued.
Miss Jones is a single woman Who started a new relationship with her boyfriend for 2 months when she has started an oral contraceptive pill.
Miss Jones presented at the clinic yesterday with a history of worsening lower abdominal pain mainly at the right iliac fossa for almost 24-hour duration. The pain associated with irregular vaginal bleeding for 2 months. Her examination revealed mild tenderness in the right iliac fossa with no rebound or guarding. Gynecology examination showed a tender right fornix.
On Today's assessment, the pain became worse and constant, radiating to the tip of left shoulder. Additionally, she has fainted in the waiting room. Clinical Assessment confirmed severe tenderness in the right iliac fossa with rebound and guarding, Vaginal examination showed severe tenderness in the right Fornix. Her pregnancy test was positive.
based on the above history and clinical examination I suspect she has an ectopic pregnancy,
