twin pushchair
When looking for a light double stroller the weight and size are the most important aspects to consider. When not in use, pick one that is easy to maneuver and small in size. This will allow it to store in your car trunk, and also to navigate through airport security and foreign roads.
The most lightweight strollers have an easy, intuitive fold that allows them to stand up on their own. This reduces stress on the body of the parent. Many strollers have multiple seating configurations and some are able to accommodate infant car seats.
Kolcraft Cloud Plus
Designed for families who are constantly on moving. Compact and light weight, it has an easy one-handed fold. All-terrain wheels, front suspension and multi-position reclining seats can will accommodate children as heavy as 50 pounds. The tray for parents and children, large storage basket, and a 3-tiered canopy with the peekaboo window offer maximum sun protection.
The Cloud earned one of the lowest scores in our quality tests due to a flimsy feel, hard plastic seats and a design that seems old-fashioned. It's also more expensive than other strollers that are lighter. This is a bad option for those seeking the cheapest option.
It's not the lightest stroller but it's got enough features to make it worth a look. Its swiveling front wheel makes it easy to navigate on flat surfaces and it can jump curbs with little effort unlike many other light strollers that drift off course when trying to accomplish the similar thing. The Cloud's low, knee-high handle has a disadvantage. It's not adjustable, and it's not adjustable. It's not a comfortable thing to push it with your legs hanging in the air like that and it's not helping that it's not cushioned.
During our testing, we found the Cloud to be easy to set up and open. It's a little more difficult to close, however. You have to slide a slider before you press a large white button for it to collapse. This can be frustrating particularly if you're trying to keep track of children while doing it.
The Cloud comes with a small, but deep storage basket. It can fit the size of a large diaper bag. The basket is small and you might have to put something in it to reach the back. The Cloud comes with a child and parent tray with two cup holders however, they're both too narrow to hold larger cups or bottles.
Kolcraft is a family-owned business which has been in existence since 1946. Their first products were diapers and crib pads and now they manufacture various baby items including highchairs, strollers for infants, car seats and toys. The company is based in Chicago, and is an American manufacturer.
Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS
Jeep Destination Ultralight is a lightweight double stroller with a minimalist design that's ideal for travel. It's extremely light at 18 pounds (lighter than some single strollers!) and it folds flat for easy transportation and storage. It also has independently reclined seats and large all-weather SPF50 sun visors that have large windows with peekaboos and under seat storage bags. The visors can be adjusted to accommodate children of different heights. It also features a one-step linked parking brake and is Disney-sized certified.
Jeep's swivel wheel system is also ideal for maneuvering over bumps and uneven terrain. This stroller does not accept car seats. Your child must be at least six months old and have a strong neck control to ride on the front seat. It does have three panels of a nice sun canopy, however and each seat comes with its own snack tray and parent cupholders.
Another incredibly lightweight side-by-side stroller is the Valco Baby Snap Trend. It's heavier than the Kolcraft Cloud Plus, at 23 lbs. However, it's tinier and slimmer (26.5 inches wide!) It has a lot of exquisite details that make it ideal for travel. It's a simple fold, is extremely maneuverable and can fit in trunks and overhead compartments of airplanes easily.
The Joovy Kooper X2 tri-folds and is ultralight, like the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ Double or Mountain Buggy Nano Duo. It's similar to the Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS but has a few key differences. It's more expensive, but has a better sun canopy and more maneuverability. It comes with a handy carrying strap and can accommodate children who weigh up to 44 pounds for each seat.
Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+
Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ is a stroller that is light with lots of features. It is not only incredibly light at only 13 pounds but also has plenty of storage options, including cupholders for both parents and children, a child's sippy-cup pouch, a parent's storage pocket, etc. This stroller can also be used with a child's car seat and has a brake that flips that is easily engaged. It's designed to grow with your child from a newborn stroller to a toddler stroller by simply attaching the car seat adapters (sold separately) and is suitable for children 6 months old and older.
Another thing to take note of about this stroller is that it has swivel wheels and doesn't come with locking features therefore it may not be the best choice for rocky or hilly terrain. It's still a good option for families with children, since it is easy to maneuver on paved surfaces and other smooth surfaces.
This stroller is one of the most lightweight double strollers with large features in a sleek compact design. It folds with one hand and stored in the garage or trunk. It can be used as a stoller for travel and is compatible without adapters with most car seats.
The Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ is distinct from other strollers that are lightweight because it has two separate seats that can each hold up to 100 pounds. The seats each have a multi-position recline, individual leg rests, and 3-panel canopies with flip-out sun visors and windows that peek out.
The seats are padded to ensure your child's safety. They also have a five-point safety harness which can be adjusted to three different height positions. Each has a built-in infant cushion, which is perfect for newborns. The cup holders for parent and child, the cell phone holders and the big storage basket will be adored by parents. The stroller is also able to be fitted with the Yoyo+ Board, which turns it into a tandem stroller.
Joovy Kooper X2
The Kooper X2 double stroller is an excellent choice for parents looking for a light double stroller that can hold two kids. Its sling style seats are comfortable, and they offer the same amount of headroom as other double strollers. This allows children to sit together. In contrast to other strollers that are side-by-side this one Kooper X2 offers a fully reclined seat, which is ideal for napping. The recline feature is simple to use, but it's not a perfect flat. Children who are taller may have a leg hanging when in the reclined position. It also has a big canopy that we found to be more effective in blocking the sun's rays than other options in our review of the best double strollers.
The stroller is light enough to maneuver through door frames, which was a big issue for us with some other models we tried. It folds up quickly, and its handlebars are close to the ground for easy transportation. Its only drawback is the small storage space. When it's full of toys for kids it can feel cramped.
Joovy, a family-owned business, creates innovative, functional and high-quality baby products. Their range includes unique bottles that we have reviewed in our best baby bottle review, interesting strollers like the Joovy Zoom X2 Double and a unique rain cover that fits many popular strollers. The bottles are reasonably priced and often have fun designs that are appealing to children.
In our lab tests of double strollers, our team has evaluated multiple factors to determine how simple a model is to use, such as how easy it is to set up and fold, adjust the safety harness and open and close the brakes, lift and carry the stroller like you would put it in a trunk of a car, and then install and remove an infant car seat (if necessary). We also assessed the durability and strength, as well as whether each product has an adult tray that can be used by both children.
The Joovy Kooper X2 received the highest score in our Strollers Test Program for its ease of use. It also received the top rating in our latest guide to the best double strollers. Its user-friendly design comes with one-hand, non-tilt recline and a large canopy that has ventilation mesh that is visible even when it's tilted. There are also individual tray for kids, cup holders built-in and zipper pockets for parents, and an enormous storage basket.
