1. How often do you use over-ear headphones?
I don’t usually use over-ear, except I really want to create my own zone while doing the
assignment or anything that requires focus.
2. What are the most important features you look for when selecting over-ear headphones?
Personally, I am always looking for the functionality or function key on the over-ear
headphones. It also can be said the humans center design on the headphone.
3. What type of music do you listen to with your over-ear headphones?
Any types. I am the one who would like to listen to different styles of music. I usually
recommend playlists on the platform. But with the over-ear type, I might like the music with a
stronger rhythm.
4. Have you noticed a trend of people using over-ear headphones more frequently? If so,
why do you think this is?
I don't think the trend is like that. On the contrary, I think people around me prefer wireless
earbuds. Except some of them who are gaming lovers.
5. Do you believe that over-ear headphones provide better sound quality compared to
earbuds or other types of headphones?
Personally, I would like to say yes. I feel the over-ear type is more soundproof. The cotton
design around it seems to be a soundproof bag. Once I put on the headphones, I seemed to
enter the space it isolated.
6. Are there any specific brands of over-ear headphones that you prefer? If so, which ones
and why?
I am not familiar with all the brands, but the more I saw of my family or friends using, which
are Beats and Sony. I am using Beats Studio now, and the simple reason is my friend
recommended and acceptable price.
7. Do you think the popularity of over-ear headphones is due to fashion or functionality?
I feel the season should be by both. Someone bought it for the function, but it still have
some people try to use it to fit their outfits.
8. Have you ever purchased over-ear headphones for the purpose of making a fashion
statement?
Never.
9. Do you think over-ear headphones are more comfortable than other types of
headphones? If so, why?
I don’t think so. I mean it should depend on the situation. No matter which type of
headphones I wear for a long time, my ears will always feel tired. In addition, sometimes I
wear framed glasses, and the over-ear headphones can easily squeeze against the frames
of the glasses, making me feel very uncomfortable.
10. Do you think over-ear headphones will continue to be popular among Gen Z in the
future? If not, why?
I am not sure. It looks like a type of fashion now, but who knows how the world will being
changed. And also the fashion is always a circle.
11. Do you think over-ear headphones provide better noise isolation compared to other types
of headphones?
Definitely yes. It’s the different feeling between over ear and earbuds. I feel the over ear is
the better to set you own in your world.
12. How do you use your over-ear headphones? (e.g., for gaming, watching movies,
studying, working out)
For me, is studying. I means I use it when I need a place to focus on my professional stuff.
13. Do you think the price of over-ear headphones is reasonable? If not, what price range
would you consider reasonable?
I am not sure the market price for them now, but at least my one is reasonable.
14. Are there any specific features you wish over-ear headphones had that they currently do
not?
Maybe it's a more convenient function key. The headphones I currently use have functions
such as switching songs and controlling volume. But these are just the common ones. I hope
they can more intelligently select usage scenarios for users, and then translate them into the
functional requirements of the function keys corresponding to the current scenario. For
example, I am listening to music, but a call comes in. The user does not need to manually go
to the phone to control whether to answer the call. Everything should be done on the
headset.
15. Have you ever purchased over-ear headphones based on recommendations from social
media influencers or celebrities? If so, which ones and why?
No, I haven’t. The recommendations are all from friends
